After a cheap PC usb controller for gens

Post by Diabollokus »

Right got my gens running well on the laptop loving alien soldier and streets of rage 3.

I need a pad asap going tonite to get one.

Buying this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... %3AIT&rd=1

Anyone used it? its like £5 brand new in maplins, has a reasonable d pad and buttong layout will be okay.... a 6 button saturn pad would be perfect but I can't justify the cost.

Don't expact you could achieve anything with that pad. :x Be perpared for buttons pressed and got no response or pressed button does not go up for seconds after lightly use. :cry:

It should be a great pad to gut for making your own USB joystick though. :o The PCB of this kind of pad usually got large area for soldering. :D

lol sam

Just been using her for the last hour, not 2 bad, d pads a bit flimsy but buttons click well.

A pc stick may happen soon, Might be able to get this thing to handle mame, not sure maybe not powerful enough.

Whats the logic behind that button placement?

Triangle = 1
Circle = 2
X = 3
Square = 4

?!?!

I have an PSX-USB converter, and it uses the same placement, which I find really stupid. I need to remap the buttons in EVERY GODDAMN game.

box=1
TRiangle=2
X=3
Circle=4

Actually don't have a clue about the button placement with regard as to wether it actually means anything on PC games.

But yes every time I start up gens have to go to joypad and input the commands when playing it from a CD. Just a cheap ps1 copy. does the job at the moment. sure its crap compared to a saturn pad but who cares.
