The games run in their native resolution but the videos for X3-X6 run in 480i for some reason. One thing to note is every time you get a game over or beat a level you are taken to the memory card save menu which is in 480i. Minor annoyance if using the Framemeister.
I already have originals of MMX4 and 5 for PS1, was the 1996 MMX3 PS1 port the same version in the collection? And was it even a good port? MMX3 would be the only reason I'd pick up the collection... since the cart costs insane amounts now

Uggh might have answered my own question about the MMX3 PS1 port, just listened to the music on youtube and it's horrible compared to the snes chiptunes

Is this one really 240p though? The 240p mode looks weird in this game, as if it was still 480i while it tries to emulate or simulate the 240p look.

greetings. this my first post in this forum, tho i am a long time fan, now welcome me

been following this thread for a while, and was expecting for someone to mention these two:

- Namco 50 Anniversary - namCollection (Jp only)
all games in this collection including tekken and klonoa, seem to be straight PS1 ports, so they do run in native 240p flawlessly. however it seems to be 640x240, not 320 in width. and as far as i know PS2 cant display less than 640 width. this on modern displays doesn't have any visual impact - to my knowledge - but on CRTs it actually kinda smoothes the image horizontally, thats why i personally prefer the 320 width on a crt.

- Mystical Ninja Goemon Zero the game runs in 240p outdoors, 480i indoors.
