PC Engine Super CD-Rom 2 system card question...

I have a pretty good offer from a guy in California on the pcenginefx forums to purchase a complete Super CD-Rom 2 unit.

I was informed by somone on this site that to be able to play all of the Super CD-Rom games that you need a 3.00 System Card, and, of course, an arcade card to play games like Saffire.

So I told this guy that I'd want a 3.00 system card with it, and he responds:
"You don't need any system cards with the SuperCD unit. "Built-in" "

Is it really built in, or is this guy giving me crap??

The guy's telling the truth. The Super CD-Rom 2 units already come with the System Card 3.0. Of course, if you plan on playing Sapphire, you'll still need an Arcade Card Pro.
