I bought Two. Thank you. I can't wait to upgrade both my setups.. Scart Cables are getting out of hand.

Not that I care (well I do a little) they are fantastic products, I own a Gscartsw_Lite - But why did the price go up $40? Thought they were going to be the same at $180? Just curious.

EDIT: NEVER MIND.. I see you added the reasons in the Description. I didn't get a chance to read it. I was parked on the old page and when orders went live I saw the new page and ordered ASAP and didn't read the whole thing till after I ordered. Now I know why the price went up. Thanks for a great product. Can't wait to get mine.

Wow, 40$ mark up and a 9 week wait. Please justify this 40$ increase for the 4$ worth of extra parts? This thing is not worth 240$, sorry.

I didn’t see an option to order a quantity of 2 so I made 2 separate orders. Is there a standard procedure for making sure that doesn’t get labeled as a mistake?

TYVM Superg honestly with the fact you have good products you have earned a customer (while expensive still so much better than any of the others i've looked at)

Is there any way to mod the gscart to turn one of the outputs into an input?

Since there is no limit, how will we know what batch our orders will be fulfilled in? Or do you not believe that would be an issue for this first batch?

Enjoy your Hydra! ...oh wait, you didn't get one?
I do have parts list here in excel spreadsheet but I guess you're just interested in drama.
Why are you always so mean? Just curious.

This is totally OK, I don't combine orders so this functionality is disabled in paypal.

No sorry, that is hardwired. Technically an interesting feature as SCART has separate pins for input / output, I thought about such approach but too hard to implement.

I will be ordering smaller sub batch in a few days, then when it's here and I make sure everything is all right I will just order every unit in backlog (and so on).

Yeah, we totally did! I didn't have much time to see all the good places with RetroRGB, hopefully next time!

Pre-ordered. I don't mind the wait... I've been waiting for a long time as it is.

!
Here's the thing.

You're doing a lot of us a huge favor. If not for your work, we'd all be cable swapping or using poorly designed and implemented solutions.

I'm happy to buy a gscartsw, I don't like to wait but will get over myself, and will enjoy using it when it turns up(as much as you can enjoy something that kinda just works and hides in the background anyway). And if superg makes money in the process? Fine with me.

But I guess that's me and everyone is entitled to their opinion.

THIS. I’m honestly shocked how frequently these projects go on sale with developer time valued near $0.

And then people get mad about how pricey it is when the developer is still doing the community a huge favor.

It boggles the mind how entitled some people get.

People get used to mass-produced, cheaply-made goods. This isn't that (but the expectation is still there).

I've been very happy with my gscartsw_lite and have ordered one of the new models.

Just wondering; should the power protection features of this new 5.1 model mean that those AliExpress "CBOX" Neo Geo consoles with the off-spec video power specs would be safe to use in conjunction with the gscartsw 5.1 and an OSSC?

That would be such a sweet feature! Please consider it for a future version.

I don't think any of us would mind if the declared value was too low (maybe parts price) , taxes suck haha

I just registered to send SuperG a thank you!

Have been monitoring this thread for some time, as am in desperate need of a cable switching solution. So happy to finally have one pre-ordered, and very excited to receive it when it's ready. Ideally need 2 but can only afford 1 for now.

I super appreciate the time, effort and care that goes into producing such a niche and fantastic product as this.

Cheers!

Just checking:
SoG support means I'll be able to output 480p+ (1080i on GT5) from my PS2 over RGB SCART and have the GSCARTSW convert it into RGB for me right?

EDIT:
Also, does the new revision use the THS7374 chip that produces the low pass filter (I've been watching the My Life in Gaming video (https://youtu.be/998tBzpJhVo?t=865)) - as I'm planning on using this with a Framemeister and don't want the soft image of two low pass filters.

You've seriously gone off the rails with this topic. The cost increase is justified right there on the gscartsw page. We know you disagree with it and have some hair across your butt with SuperG, but you need to get over yourself. All of these people registering just to thank him are evidence enough that many more people find this device useful than not. If you don't want to buy it (I think you're prevented from it anyway) then just move on. Please!
