If you ordered a month ago chances are that you will receive one from this batch. I would rather not look it up now as it's complicated, I will have more information on this next week - will post a date range with units which weren't fulfilled with current batch.
(and I can give you refund of course)

Hi superg,

Received your gscartsw and it is working great (including PS2) :D
Except for my RGB modded PCE/CDROM2/Interface2 Unit. It works fine on all monitors/TV's and passive switchers I have.
What I get is some green lines at the bottom. See my capture here: https://youtu.be/H5QYX34xmfk

Any suggestion? Some dips I can try?
Thanks!

Feature Request: LED indicator for the active port, next device queued up, and detecting sync activity. I am thinking this can be done with a bi-color LED.

Depending on your mod you can get different results. There are some configurations that work, I haven't looked into all possible PC Engine mods.

So.. not sure what to do with this answer. Shall I supply the mod type to you? I got the pce-IFU pre-RGB modded, I can probably open it up, if that would help.
Or do you suggest me to play with the dips (assuming you mean those with ‘configuration’)? (An overview of what they do would be usefull)

You have to experiment with this yourself, if that doesn't go through the switch, it's non compliant. DIP switches may or may not help, try DIP1 (sync regeneration), if that helps you're good to go. If not you will have to figure out what's wrong with it. I know it works directly but that doesn't mean that the signal is up to specs. Switch multiplexer IC's limit amplitude to -5..+5V, if sync is out of that range, it won't pass through the multiplexers. TurboGrafx/PCE RGB mods are the most problematic, there are configurations that work but I didn't have much time to look into these mods in depth.
Maybe somebody from community can reply here with their PCE findings.

40% of the current gscartsw batch is packed and will be dropped off tomorrow.
I skipped Germany buyers, German orders will be handled later, I want to sort out this EU certification issue.

Got a question, been thinking about this now that the 8 in 1 gcompsw exists.

What would happen if an RGBS signal was run through the gscompsw (with the sync line going into the yellow composite connector) ?

Would sync and switching be detected?

Good idea to skip german buyers, until the EU issue is solved.
Still hope to get my gscart.

Did you receive the return?

It looks like my new gscartsw is being delivered today (thanks superg!)

Anybody interested in purchasing my gscartsw lite? It was used less than a handful of times (I'm mostly a collector with little time for playing) and purchased last February.

When my GScartw arrives i'll know for sure if its just the Auto Bandridge switcher i'm using causing the problem.
I don't think that gscartsw will fix the jailbar issue unless it's really the bandridge who is messing it up. Do you get the jailbars if connected directly?
Connect directly?
I dont have a PVM.
No jailbars when i connect thru composite though.

Does the cable you are using use csink or sink on luma?

Here are the DIP switch options:
DIP options:

For every toggle up is OFF and down is ON. The unit is shipped with everything OFF but this is something not guaranteed.

DIP 1: Enable sync regeneration
DIP 2: Disable sync on green compensation
DIP 3: Enable Sega Master System correction
DIP 4: Disable status LED
If I understand correctly, DIP 2 is defaulted off. This means that SoG will be stripped/converted (or forwarded) by default? You have to turn this DIP switch ON to leave SoG alone?

Set DIP 2 to ON (down) if you want to keep synchronization on green channel. It's stripped by default.

It's good to hear that!
On a side note, which PCE model do you have and what RGB mod was used?

i am using a PCE Duo-R with doujindance RGB mod I purchased off ebay several years ago. I have read that his older mod work can be problematic, but it worked flawlessly with the gscartsw right out of the box (didn't need to change any of the DIP switches).

Hi,
I have a small question (maybe a stupid one, sorry :/ )

If I plug a gaming console with an HD Retrovision cable into the gcompsw, and then I plug the output of the gcompsw into the new gscartsw with such cable :

Will I get an image on my RGB TV ?
