Projector TATE

Post by M0nk3y »

Afternoon all.

I've been thinking about the various options available to me to have a Supergun with a decent sized TATE'd screen. It occured to me that one of those desktop LCD projectors would be nice and easy to tate. From what I've seen, they mostly seem to have RGB inputs.

I'll be projecting on to a door! Giving me a 1.25m screen (75cm x 1m).

Just wondering if the screen would blur like an LCD monitor, and how good the picture quality is. Anyone else using a projector for their gaming?

I used to use a projector for games and while it was definately blurrier than a CRT monitor it still looked pretty good(and the huge size was worth it) About rotating it though, don't expect to just be able to turn the projector sideways and have it show up on your wall. You'll need to either mount it on a wall somehow or put it way up on a shelf or some books(like I did) or the image will be projected partway onto the ground too.

I used to play Espgaluda with a 9 foot tall(tated) projected screen and it was pretty awesome if difficult to see all the action :)
