The best PC Joypad

Post by Afterbirth »

Hello all. First post (on here at least - i'm a member of RLLMUK in the UK).

Just thought i'd post this link.....if you want a Joypad for your PC, seriously consider this pad...

http://play.com/play247.asp?pa=sr&page= ... tle=181425

Its the strongest and cheapest Joypad for the PC and works a treat on all Emulated/Homebrew/Doujin/Normal PC games.

Its keyboard mappable too, so just assign the buttons to your mame.cfg and save its state accordngly.

Its based on the Controller S series (as you can proberly tell) and is USB which increases lag time over most Console/PC convertors.

Only issues are slightly flat B+W buttons (the two below the main 4) - but this is not really to much a concern.

I've used plenty of Joypads (as my prefered method of playing 2D games)- Saitek and Logitek and nothing holds its own like this does.

I'll stick with my Saturn USB pad. I don't like the Xbox controller all that much, and that one looks an awful lot like one...

I used to like the old 15-pin Dplug Sidewinder. Dont think much of the USB version though.

Yeah, the old Sidewinder was pretty good... too bad they kept making it worse with each successive "update" though. The tilt-sensor sidewider was one of the biggest POSs that ever came out for the PC...

Saitek's P880 and P2500 both rock (the P2500 adds rumble but costs a few bucks more) something fierce. Wonderful pad that's comfortable and responsive and makes it easy to pull off those spinning pile drivers in Street Fighter 2 :)

Don't you find the Saiteks too plastic?

These neopads have rubber grips.
