NAOMI help- capcom I/O problem plus more

Post by dpful »

My capcom I/O makes ticking and squeeling (not really loud) it gets louder and softer regarding what's on the screen (like bright stuff or dark stuff), and it's coming directly from the little raised circuit board near the jamma connector.
Also, the game freezes, so low 5v right? I was looking into the cabinet's power supply, and realized the I/O's noises might be the culprit.
I've tried it on a few cabs, and the noises are the same.
Any one elses do this? If yours are all quiet, than I've got to look into sending mine back.

I've heard noises come from power supplies before and thought it meant that they were failing.

I think I know the Problem with your Naomi

You may be right about the Voltage causing the naomi to freeze.

I had this same exact problem with System as well. I even had a new power supply. Try raising the voltage on your power supply and that should fix the problem. If not the Capcom I/O may be faulty.

Do you have any capcom I/0's that make noise?
Without the cover, it's pretty loud- with the cover on, you have to put your ear up to it.
