Converting a SNES Pad to a PSX pad

Post by FatCobra »

I was wondering if there was an adapter to convert an SNES pad for use with the PS2. We all know that the D-Pad on the Dualshock2 sucks and I like the SNES pad for my 2-D gaming needs. I have plenty of SNES pads and PS1 pads if anyone wants to do some hacking up for me.

I wish they had these but unfortunately nobody makes em. I do have one adapter (sold back in the mid 90s) that lets me use my SNES pads on the Sega Saturn and have to say it's the best pad for shooters. No other controller gives tighter control. But if somebody could do a hack I'd also be very interested.

I probably could, but I'd have to make one for myself before you should trust me to make one for you, and I'm unlikely to make one for myself since I think the Genesis & Saturn pads run circles around the SNES pad.
