neo geo aes questions!

Post by mirkvid »

well, its been over a decade, but i finally ordered a neo geo aes!!!

got a few questions for anybody who might already have one:

1: is it possible to play MVS games on the AES with an adapter?
2: i need some good shmups! please suggest some!
3: any place besides e-bay to look for games?
thanks!

the phantom 1 converter will work for you. don't know about finding one these days though.

as far as game availability there is:

Neo Geo.com (they have forums with sale/trade and also a store).

Neo geo usa haven't used them. others care to comment?

Coinopexpress again no purchases to speak of, but customer service is very nice. ^_^

other members will chime in with more options. also, MVS/AES carts pop up in our own trading forum from time to time.

edit: just like to say, the neogeo is one of those things i wish i had the extra money to get involved with.

As Cap'n stated, snag a Phantom 1 convertor.
Arcade Shock still have a couple in stock.

Yeah forget about that overpriced piece of junk, just buy Blazing Star, Pulstar and Twinkle Star Sprites, they're cheap...

well, you could buy an MVS+supergun or a consolized MVS for less than the price of the phantom converter. And while you´re at it, you could get rid of the overpriced piece of junk that the NGH is. And then you could proceed to buy a Unibios, all of the 3 games mentioned, and spend the change on a car or something.

You think that is expensive, then just wait and see how much some of the AES games sell for ;)

I had an AES for a while, and the games are REALLY expensive. In the end I thought that it just wasn't worth it. I sold my system and all the games for about the same as I had spent on it, so that was ok.
