Customising the Namco Arcade Stick

Okay so I picked up this PSX stick for the good price of £17 including P&P.

Could I replace the ball type stick with *not sure of the name* "american style" stick?

It's a lovely stick for me as a first timer although I'm finding the spacing alittle too close sometimes.

I'm never going back playing fighters or shooters with a control pad.

I used to get blisters and cramps in my hand now it's eliminated completly.

A Happ stick won't fit. You could put a Sanwa stick in there with a bat top, though.

Japanese style sticks rock. American style sticks suck. It has NOTHING to do with personal preferences
