88 at 24kHz runs at a funky res so it will not work right on regular med res monitors. The RGB output at 15kHz is similar to consoles and that's how I have it plugged in.

98 can't do 15kHz, it does 24kHz or 31kHz but many older games only run at 24kHz.

Good to know. Is the output of 15 or 24 khz effected by software, or just the specific model of PC88?

What model would you recommend?

It's a dip setting on the PC. Get a 88VA series model if you want to be able to play everything but the 1 or 2 CD games. 88MC if you want to play the CD games and games which can run music from their OST (also just a handful). You absolutely need the original keyboard if you want to change the video modes (V1 or V2) for older games or some stuff will look screwed up like what can be seen on screenshots at HG101.
