Which PS2 modchip is the best ?

Post by yojo! »

I'd like to buy a pre-modded system and there is a bunch of modchip available. Is the most expensive one neceserally the best ?

I went to www.chipdealer.com and they have the choice of

-DMS4 lite
-DMS4 pro
-Infinity
-Duo2SE

Which one would you recommend ?

My solution to the modchip problem was to buy a second PS2.

I guess with a modchip you can do more things like roast coffee or something but I only use my consoles for playing games.

(just kidding of course)

Pretty much always yes, with some of the cheaper chips you will get problems with a few import games.

Anyway DMS4 Lite is generally the best budget alternative (and the only one of those modchips you should go with if you have a PSTwo)

If you have the ol PS2 then DMS4 Lite, Pro and Infinity are all good. I have personally not tried the Pro, but infinity chip is just brilliant (as it offers a wide range of setting good for those that import stuff). There are cheap copies of Matrix Infinity out there though (ripper chip etc..) those are pure crap and should be avoided (some modchip installers even install those, thinking you will not notice the difference).
