I don't see why the excitement. Fighting games are meant to be played with arcade sticks.

Except if you are buying it because it looks cool and to use with other games...

sticks are probably better, but the saturn pad is clearly the best pad for shmups and 2d fighters, and they're a hell of a lot more portable. beats even my personl favourite, the 6-button megadrive pad, for precision and consistent qcs
