Japan/Asian PS2 compatibility.

I ordered Shin Contra from PlayAsia and its an asian region game and I have a japanese PS2. PlayAsia says "for JPN/Asian systems only" but I'm asking on here to be sure. Is it that Japanese/Asian systems play any Asian region game (Japanese systems play Chinese/Korean version games etc)?

I dont think it can but I'm not really 100% sure

Yes; Japan, Asia, and Korea region marked games are all compatible between those region sytems.

I wasn't sure, but I thought they weren't compatible.
