DC pad modification

Post by theevilfunkster »

Extremly bored one day, i decided to tackle one of the biggest flaws of the dreamcast pad, the cable.

armed only with a scrwdriver and a knife, i managed to carve a gap in the top of the pad so i could thread the cable through it. i must say, it makes a huge difference!

Nicely done. It actually looks pretty clean.

Personally I don't mind the cable coming out the bottom (strangely, sometimes I kind of like it....)
What did you do about the part making sure the PCB isn't damaged when the cable is yanked?

the hole is kinda tight so the cable isnt going anywhere. ive got plenty of spare dc pads so im not that bothered about destroying any of them
