Wondering how long this Genesis Model 1 will last....

Post by dave4shmups »

I actually have a Genesis Model 1, and it does work, but the circular part is REALLY scratched up. I would like to get a front-loading Sega CD unit for it, but I'm just worried about how much longer the Genesis 1 will last...in other words, would I be better off just buying another one that's in better pyhsical shape?

Nah, man. Keep it. It's just a scratch. If you want to get a Sega CD, get a top-loader. Those are less prone to breaking down since they have less moving parts than the front loaders.
Don't hold grudges. GET EVEN.

Hell my genesis must be 14-15 years old now plays great, those things are imortal.

Get the front loader! its better quality and more collectible.

why are you even worried? You can get a new Genesis any time, they´re like 10$ on ebay.
