loosening dreamcast arcade stick

Post by nullpointer »

Hi Guys,

I just got a 2nd hand DC arcade stick (the green/grey one)
The buttons all work fine, but the stick seems a little easy to click up/right and stiffer the opposites. I'd also like it to be a little more sensitive anyway (thers a big deadzone). maybe this is how you'd set it up for fighters (I dont play em so I dunno).

Q is.. should i wait a while and hope it works in.. or can i just take it apart and adjust it to be more even and more sensitive..?
If so .. are there any tips/guides?

thnx

The vagueness (and weak durability) is natural to most sticks for console , since they use looser tolerances for cheaper manufacturing process.

Quick answer...I think best to replace with Seimitsu LS-32 stick.

Axel grease. Pull the bottom off, pull the joystick apart, then lube up and go. Worked wonders for my Fighting Stick. It's loose as hell and feels great. I prefer Lubriplate, but you may want to use something a bit less overkill.
Blow up self to involve enemies.
