Capture from CRT to Hama AV-100S to Framemeister to Elgato
Hello!
I want to play PS2 on my CRT with RGB the same time I record it to my laptop.
I'm playing on a B&O MX7000.
In AV1 I have RGB scart (Retrogamingcables) from the PS2. In AV2 I have a scart that goes to
the HAMA AV-100S that then should go to the RGB input that then outputs HDMI to my Elgato HD60S
that then goes into my laptop.
The problem here is that the Elgato software don't seems to recognize the signal.
Before I was using an RGB to HDMI converter but I found out it outputs the signal to composite so I
heard the HAMA AV-100S was a better choice that don't cost a ton of money.
The problem here is that I don't get a signal on the elgato software.
Am I doing things right here? Anyone have experiences with the HAMA AV-100S?
Please, need help.
/Nick

Your TV doesn't output RGB from the 2nd scart port.
You won't get around getting a splitter for your signal.

What is the way to go then?
Re: Capture from CRT to Hama AV-100S to Framemeister to Elga
for example, yes.Well, there is that hellish expensive GScartSW then?
If you know how to handle your signals, you can get a cheap Extron distribution switch, but you need a clean sync signal for those. You could also go component instead, get a cheap component matrix and add a transcoder between the matrix and the TV.
Really depends on how important this is for you and which other systems you might possible want to connect.

Thanks Fudoh! Is there a specific Extron device to look out for here?Fudoh wrote:If you know how to handle your signals, you can get a cheap Extron distribution switch, but you need a clean sync signal for those.

You can find ones with HD15 VGA inputs and outputs or BNC instead at something like 20-40 EUR on ebay.

This is probably your cheapest way to connect to an Extron VGA input. Make sure the sync stripper switch is on!
Also, here’s a very nice 1:2 powered SCART splitter if you want to stay on that route:

Looks really nice! So with that scart splitter I can use scart to play in realtime on my crt & PS2 and at the same
way connect a rgb scart into my framemeister who then goes to my elgato HD60S who will capture everything
with no signal loss?

Correct! One thing - do you already have a female SCART to JP21 (or to 8pin input) adapter for the Framemeister?nick_arrow wrote:kitty666cats wrote:Also, here’s a very nice 1:2 powered SCART splitter if you want to stay on that route:

Alright, good! Yeah, then you’ll have everything you need with that powered splitter I linked.nick_arrow wrote:Yes, I do.kitty666cats wrote:Correct! One thing - do you already have a female SCART to JP21 (or to 8pin input) adapter for the Framemeister?
