RQ: Long DFK Pauses
There are just certain areas where in DoDonPachi 4 where I just can't seem to chain enemies because of huge pauses in enemy patterns during the hidden route. Are these unavoidable? The two that piss me off the most are the two large ships at the beginning of stage 4 and the midboss taking forever to die in stage 3. I can't prolong any of them because that ruins my combo too.

Clever Hyper usage. Cancelling bullets will keep your chain going to a certain point, so for certain midbosses and bosses, you want to tap the shot button while in Hyper mode to cancel their bullets, but not tap it so much that you're constantly firing. The idea is to do a slow kill while keeping your chain going. That way, by the time the midboss/big enemy DOES die, there will be other things for you to kill.
