RQ: Ketsui Loop Req.

Been wanting this PCB for a while and finally scrounged the $ for it. Anyway, I have no idea what the 2nd loop requirements are. I've heard there is a 'special round' if you no miss + no bomb the first round (with suicide bullets and other crazy stuff), but is there a normal 2nd round and if so what do you need to get it. Also, the triggers for the 1-ups in stages 3 and 5, anyone know what has to me done?

Thanks.

Another requirement is that you must score at least 120,000,000 points.

There is a normal 2nd round. You can access it if you meet the following conditions upon clearing the 1st round:
Failing to meet the requirements to access the special 2nd round.

Having the number of deaths (D) plus the number of bombs (B) used be at most six. (In other words, D + B <= 6.)

Thanks for the info BER

Have to wait until the PCB arrives and get into the game before I decide which to try for.

Hmm,now i'm curious...you just loop the game? Why a players shouldn't actually try to avoid the special loop?Score,i suppose, but how much is worth the increased difficulty?

I really don't know if the increased difficulty would give way to an equally increased score. I haven't even received the PCB yet, so I can't really judge. My guess is that there are more enemies in the special round, leading to higher multipliers and scores, or maybe it's just something for crazy people to aim for, like the true boss in Dangun.

I had a video of the Ketsui Special round. Ask Mode7 If he still has it.

In special, you don't collect boxes, although I don't know how that will affect your score, as the multiplyer and the large number still increase.

Here's a web page explaining the triggers and the methods for making those 1-ups appear:

http://itirou.fc2web.com/ketui/2ch/ketu ... re_1up.htm

It's in Japanese, though, and I don't have IMAKICHI's replays to understand the machine-translated English.

Thanks, I was able to get the replay working earlier today to figure it out. Stage 5 it just looks like you have to destroy the 3 large tanks about half way though, and 3 is just clearing the decks of the battle cruiser.

Thanks for digging up those links, hope it wasn't too much trouble.

I can't seem to get the 1-up in stage 3; is it simply a matter of destroying all parts of the battle cruiser, or is there some sort of order? I tried to translate the Japanese link, but only got a partially coherent explanation. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks

zlk has also been having trouble triggering this 1-up, so I guess it it more compicated than I thought.

1- destroy small turrets at the bottom, followed by the large chunk which is targetable after the turrets are destroyed
2- top small turrets and large chunk
3- the bottom large section in the middle
4- the upper large section in the middle (looks like a tower)

I do not think that the large turrets matter. You cannot use a bomb on any part of the mid-boss or you'll lose the 1-up. It can be difficult as it goes hyper when its lifebar appears. 2 and 3 can be done in either order as far as I can tell.

does anyone know if the true last boss is in the normal 2nd loop too, or does he just appear in the special round?

also, i'm curious to know if there is a way to play the levels individually. does this have anything to do with the dip switches? then again, what do all the dip switches do in this game? (can't read the japanese manual)
