But you forgot to quote his expert analyze;
Very rare and sought after game

The International Arcade Museum website states:-
This game ranks a 4 on a scale out of 100 (100 = most often seen, 1=least common) in popularity based on census ownership records.

Other rare game Kizuna Encounter MVS/Arcade Circuit board ranked at 16.
See ? Makes sense !

I always love how these guys want top dollar for mediocre/shifty games.
You're sure to be in a fine haze about now, but don't think too hard about all of this. Just go out and kill a few beasts. It's for your own good. You know, it's just what hunters do! You'll get used to it.

Martial Masters isn't mediocre but that's still about £2,740 too high.

I like the fact you need to pay £20 shipping on top.

Whoops. I was thinking of Martial Champion.

I first heard of MM about a year ago and thought it looked pretty good.

Now you can get a bare DDP board here in the states for more than any Japanese, Chinese, or Korean seller would price it. It looks like they already threw out that piece of garbage matching serial kit box. But, I guess you get to pay for the box on this one. Hahahahaha!!!!... Gotta be a Gaijin with $$ in their eyes. Sad thing is, someone may actually buy this. This hobby.

I know there's a high demand on NMK shmups, but I didn't think a TD2 could reach that rate nowadays

Mine had cost me 40 EUR + shipping as "Buy it now" 3 years ago on eBay !

Really? TD2 was rare and fetching three figures as long as I was looking for it. 40 EUR three years ago sounds lucky to me.

Yeah I knew it was a great deal, because it was selling on YAJ for 12,000~15,000 Yen at that time, but the price has almost tripled in 3 years !

I had that Thunder Dragon 2 on my watch list for the complete running time. I would have payed 250 Euro. Nearly 400 Euro seems insane to me but on the other hand this PCB rarely pops up :( .
Thunder Dragon 2 & Gunnail seem to be though / expensive wants on my list :P  :( .

PS: I can remember a Thunder Dragon 2 on Ebay.de as "buy it now" for 80 Euro around 2007 - I'm still kicking myself for not getting that one :? .

Not "insane" yet, but would anyone here care to guess why Bomberman Generation PAL seems to be fetching higher prices nowadays than it used to a couple of years ago? Doesn't seem rare at all and only once have I seen it called a "cult" title, which leads me to believe it might be, you know, pretty good.
Bought mine when I read it was 60 Hz. It was not, so I felt it had to go (unsure whether it's optimised), but come to think of it, assuming at least multiplayer modes can be sped up from the options menu, it might come in handy one of these days.

Syphon Filter 3 Flag And Burnination Version: $2500 BIG ONES
(or you could buy the loose disc for $200, or the loose contents which may or may not be original in a "Like New" copy which it turns out don't all fit in the supplied case anyway, but the auction seller states by sworn affidavit was never been touched by laser thanks to teeth-grinding levels of self-control, for just $500.)

And none of these are even slabbed or VGA graded.

Note to self: Do u even game?

I'm pretty sure that's a normal price for that.

Guy is selling $200+ joysticks made of unfinished oak with exposed screws and saw burn marks.

I'm sure you all want to be first in line.
As far as I know a Sega Genesis controller will also work with Vectrex and Atari 2600 so I don't see where the "mod" is other than maybe painting red letters on the buttons. Take a look at the selection of "custom" mods.

Jeez. 10 years ago he could have gotten away with that. Not these days. He is either ignorant to the fact that there are dozens of joystick makers that can make something much nicer for cheaper, or he's banking on the stupidity of "retro" gamers.

somebody just spent $ on this turbografx controller with a broken off din plug.

What the...?

These are fan made PC-98 disks with Touhou games installed or programmed specially to run on the hardware, right? Or am I misunderstanding something here. Why would someone pay £5000 for that? :|

No, why would they be? It's well-known that the PC-98 touhou games go for absurd amounts of money, particularly because of their rarity.

Man, I've got no idea about Touhou history at all. I thought they started on Windows. So they were originally 98 games ported to Windows?

Regardless, that's insane money for loose floppy disks.
