Beggar Prince

A game that's riddled with bugs, bad art (that was promised to be professional quality) and incompatibility issues that weren't mentioned until after people bought it.

AND IT CAN BE YOURS IF YOU BUY IT NOW!

Gaia Seed for 250 USD

Rare? Maybe. Does it warrant a pricetag of $250? No way!

EDIT: Oh wait, the same seller is offering a few other "nice" deals as well:

Mortal Kombat II for PS1 for 200 USD

What is Manic Game Girl for PS1? Well, you can have it for 500 USD

Lot of 48 low-price PS1 games for a mere 4000 USD

Men in Black PS1 for 7000 USD !!!

How about a worthless Saturn analog controller for $100:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Sega-Saturn-3D-Cont ... dZViewItem

This seller truly sucks. As I recall, I gave two stupid Saturn analog controllers away for free on this forum (with the purchase of Nights).

It's not game related, but I just sold some old LOTR action figures based off the 1978 Ralph Bakshi animated LOTR movies. This was easily double what I was expecting the final price to be. $1,726!!! All I thought was, "Dude, this guy had better pay for this." The buyer was local, so I met up with him. I told him that for exchange for me to go out of my way to meet up with him halfway, at least he could do a money order to spare me the costs of PayPal. He came up with some dumb excuse why his bank wasn't cooperating. So he wired the money through PP, and I met up with him at a fish store halfway between us. (He got lost and started looking at the other side of town for this store... can you believe this? So he saw the figure and the horse and says, "Oh man, you're gonna hate me." It turns out that the plastic bubble had small tiny perferations from the horse's ears. The horns on the figure's helmet produced something similar. They're so small that I didn't even notice them! So I told him I would refund his money and give a second chance offer to the next guy down.

So far, the second highest bidder says he's interested, even after I explained about the smal perferations. I didn't mind driving down there yesterday because it was an excuse to hang out with Specineff, but still....

It shows how obnoxious obsessed fanboys can be. These old LOTR toys are crap, but they're fairly rare. There's only a handful of people who want them, and they're willing to pay top dollar for the toys. But they were made by Knickerbocker, a toy company that should have stuck to stuffed dolls instead. The toys are poorly made and they are poorly packaged as well. So these guys who are willing to pay thousands of dollars for the perfectly preserved toy aren't going to find it. Idiots. But they can continue being idiots for al I care. I just want their money and for them to shut up about it.

Thanks for letting me rant and vent.

$1,700 for a plastic toy?! Why? It's just going to sit there in it's packaging, never touched until the day you die. It serves no purpose! Hookers and blow are more sound choices than that.

Wow, that's pretty disturbing. Had he not been local, I wonder if he would have asked for a refund after you shipped it to him? I don't even want to go there. Images of killing people.

I totally want that MJ doll. I'll give it to Zach for Christmas.

Zach likes Michael Jackson? That auction will be ending soon. I had to restrain myself from saying something immature in the listing description.

As it turns out, the second highest-bidder did take the LOTR black horse and rider, and she had bid on the other two as well (Aragorn and the white horse). I ended up making more money this way. Even though It went for $1701 instead of $1726, she paid with a money order, and PayPal was wanting to charge me about $52 to process the $1726 transaction. So I lost $25 only to gain $52 back. Nice.

That's what I was hoping for, man. $26 in the grand scheme of $1700 is ok with me!

Yeah, Zach and I are long time MJ fans. Sure, Mike is creepy and likes kids, but the man can rock it till the wheels fall off! I'll try and win it for his B-Day! It's in a week, I think.

Gaia Seed

Now I know this game is generally expensive, but this is ridiculous.
On Yahoo Japan there is one for 1/2 as much.

yes but nearly all the new copies on eBay are the re-released version, which has a yellow border on the cover/spine stating "Player's Choice". I asked many of those sellers about it, and they've confirmed that it's the re-release they're offering.

it is the same exact game; only the cover insert is different.

anyways, I found a sealed 1st release copy (without a price sticker on it) for $29. I am surprised at how that last auction turned out.
