If a game was developed based on these characters, which game name would you like best?

Tails: The Flight of the Fox
The Adventures of Tails
Tails the Two-tailed Fox
Sonic and Tails
Tails and the Giant Machine
Knuckles the Echidna
Knuckles: The Red Warrior
Knuckles: City of Chaos
The Adventures of Knuckles
Knuckles: Fury Fists
Shadow: Renegade Hedgehog
Shadow: Rebel with a Cause
Shadow the Hedgehog
Shadow the Hedgehog: Chaos Unleashed!
Shadow: Sonic's Nemesis
Dr. Eggman Strikes Again!

Dr. Eggman: Robotnik's Revenge
Dr. Eggman: Out of Control
Dr. Eggman: The World's Not Enough
I guess if you care about Sonic, make your vote count...

i care about sonic but to be honest all of his recent games, apart from the advance games, have sucked. especially sonic heroes. and whos stupid idea was it to not include sonic cd or knuckles chaotix on the sonic mega collection plus? they've had 3 opurtunities now to put them on a sonic compilation but we get fucked over each time

Personally, I can't stand the Advance games either. The first one was good, but a bit unpolished, and the next two completely missed the point (yes, there IS more to Sonic than running really fast!).

And the further on the series gets, the worse the level design gets. Sonic Advance 3 seems like it's designed purely to see how many spike pits they can fit directly after a boost.

I actually would prefer a Sonic game with no enemies or obstacles that would just let me run infinitely with no danger of ever stopping. I don't like to be challenged either, so...whatever.

Talk about scraping the barrel.

They should ask what type of game at least. So people can click 'not another 3D adventure game'.

I voted.

Personally I'm most interested in seeing just a "Sonic & Tails" game...the title reminds me of Sonic 2, before all the extra/wortheless characters (except Knuckles, guardian of the forest...who then became a freakin treasure hunter years later) were introduced.

Just gimme some 2D/2.5D action with Sonic and Tails against Robotnik (I refuse to call him Eggman) and I'll pre-order ASAP.

Resistance is futile...it'll just be another pile of 3D poo.

Where is my Scud Race conversion, bitches?

I'm more interested in know who will develop it, and if they'll make a lame attempt at releasing it on all three systems. Seems the more systems the develop for, the worse the game is.

I personally don't care about Shadow. I just wish that Sonic Team would stop degrading the character and the games any further by recycling the Sonic Adventure engine over and over. Which wasn't that good to begin with.

Psst. Sega. You know, there are a bunch of coders out there, who used to make some really good games. Why not hand the project over to them? I think their name rhymed with "Erasure" or something like that.

sonic adventure wasn't all that bad of a sonic game if you only play the sonic and tails levels, minus maybe the temple level and sonic's casino level and the very last level of sonic, the tails levels and his final boss were excellent.
there rest were nice fast, just enough of a multitiered level to feel sonic. and along with crash bandicoot the most successful non-collection based/linear 3d platforming game i've ever played.

the game should have been:

s: emerald coast
s: windy valley
s: that initial fight with robotnic
t: windy valley
s: ice cap (preferably no snow boarding)
s: twinkle park (preferably no bumper cars)
t: speed highway
s: speed highway
t: the fight with robotnic's mech
s: red mountain
t: skydeck
s: skydeck
s: final egg
s: fight with robotnic

with all the abilities given to you at the begining and no world map just straight sequenetial. It'd take maybe an 1.5-2.5 hours and suddenly it'd be like the original sonics: something where you could just sit down and play a couple levels. for "replay value" you could i don't know toss in some sonic artwork like in sonic for the neo geo pocket, and toss in the chao garden i guess with the eggs hidden in out of the way corners of the level like artwork.

and yeah i'm with you andi, just an infinite branching multilayered level full of nothing but loops springs running straight up and down cliffs, no spikes or lava or enemies just speed. sounds like a plan to me.

Dear Yuji Naka and Sonic Team:

I vote that you get a clue and stop emphasizing the secondary characters which nobody cares about.

The problem is that the young'uns care. I hear these kids talk about some character named "Neo" that can copy others' moves (isn't that fitting, given that some can't appreciate anything original these days) and how Shadow is cooler than Sonic. It's probably because Sonic came out in our time, is old to them, and Shadow is the Sonic for them, only it's really not a very good "Sonic for today's generation," if you know what I mean. How about something more... fresh, instead of a paint job and some jet shoes and funky hair and a bad attitude?

Then again, all the updating of Sonic's image isn't necessarily any better, so, maybe I'd rather them introduce a knockoff character and have him (or her, or it) take the fall.

(One of two times that I've used that emoticon!)

I remember back when one of my friends was trying to tell me that Knuckles, the new playable character in Sonic & Knuckles, was faster than Sonic "but can't jump as high." Puh.

Why don't they give Sonic a pair of shades, a baseball cap and some floppy tongued trainers.

Then again 'cool' to people is violence, swearing and drugs. Basically anything tabboo. So why don't they marry their cousins and be done with it.

As soon as I realized that the site didn't offer me any opportunity to suggest that they should give up on Sonic altogether and better start working on a new Monsterworld game or a worthy successor to Alex Kidd in Miracle World (why, oh why did all the sequels of the first game have to be so crappy?) I totally lost interest in voting at all.

There's indeed more to Sonic than just running really fast. That's why the Master System Sonic 1 is better than any of the Mega Drive games. They couldn't reproduce the speed, so they concentrated on better (and less repetitive) level design and came up with some excellent stuff.
