Trial version 2 was released a few days ago, but I only found out just an hour ago. Easily my second-favourite doujin games in recent years (Cave Story being #1), and it's completely insane. Think of it as Shock Troopers and Gauntlet given a manic-SHMUP treatment. The screen frequently fills up with bullets and a huge number of very well drawn sprites very quickly, and although it may seem impossible at first you can dodge everything thrown at you.

Stop right there! You all should be playing it now.

Freeware? I thought this was a demo for an upcoming shareware/dojin release.

Yeah, doujin was what I meant. Coupled with lack of sleep my mind was elsewhere. I corrected my error now.
