Post your shmups snacks
Since we all need shooter food, I was just wondering what you guys snack on. Usually I don't snack on much, but once in a while I like to pick up a few things from this cool little international food market.
Pocky: Chocolate covered biscuit sticks. They're pretty good, but seem to disappear quickly. These come in a number of different varieties including chocolate (my usual), strawberry, banana, coconut milk, the list goes on. Product of Japan.
,
Kasugai Wasabi Peas: Roasted green peas, with a slight wasabi coating. These are worth trying, though I should say they can be a little on the hot side. (horse radish type hot) They're really pretty mild though, especially once you're used to them. One of my favorites, and not bad for you either. Product of Japan.
,
Ichimasa Shrimp Chips: These are really good if you like seafood. They're an acquired taste if you're not a seafood person, but if you like shrimp, or fish, you should like these. They're long, narrow potato chips, with shrimp, and fish (mainly pollock I believe) mixed in. Product of Japan.

During shmupping I don't do snacks since I don't want to have my hands dirty while touching my stuff.
Before or after I do fancy a bowl of cashew nuts or when I have a larger hunger for a snack I eat some Frikandel!
Even better is a Frikandel speciaal (here pictured without the IMO neccessary sate (peanut) sauce, but with obligatory mayo, ketchup and small unions):
Delicious Dutch fastfood.

Actually, the apple ones are good too, but I prefer the peach rings, especially when I can get 5 pound sacks of them at the grocery store near me.

I tend to stick to the basics here... Usually a pack of Ritz crackers with some Tillamook medium cheddar (a brand found primarily in the Pacific Northwest, but also available throughout the country if you know where to look) works out best here, with a nice cold glass of refrigerated water to go with it. I will admit to an occasional habit of munching on uncooked spaghetti noodles though...
Edit: Evil post.

Maybe even a sig
Anyway since we're not only posting shmup snack but beverage too, I'll post mine too...
Preferably, but not too often since it gets to the head quite fast (makes my no-skills even worse) and it is a bit too expensive to drink too often, I love Duvel.
So normally it's just cheap ass, but quite tasty nonetheless Jaeger beer (these days in red cans).
But since you can't hit them all the time, a plain glass of water will do just fine too.
