What are some of the weird Dreams you have had?

Dreams are full of weird moments in them and i am quite fascinated by them. which is why i would like to ask what are some weird dreams you have had

I usually dream about going to some arcade that essencially has every game i have wanted to play and for the most part its pretty normal however there are also some non exsistent games in these arcades like pac-man sequels or arcade ports of games that don't exisist and also the interior of them are very strange and there are usually quite a few people in these dreams.

Another type of odd dream i have is of being in some huge weirdly desinged Carnival with weird setpieces and strange colors these places are by far so strange with the land its hard to describe with words.

I dream about certain scene from a video game or a cartoon like the intro to a cartoon but with it being nearly accurate for the most part but with some odd quirk i can even remember the music that plays and it is one to one how it sounds i usually find these to be very surreal as a whole.

Mine are always weird AF and I can almost never remember them, and when I can, I can't put them into words. I'm never in a physical place I've ever been in: eg, my own home, school, work, etc. Which is why to this day I'm still not 100% sure that I did not enter a Sunkus (now Family Mart) in Hatsudai buck ass naked one Sunday morning when I was... how shall we say... in a state. I only realized what was up when I was trying to buy a coffee and ran home. The front door was indeed unlocked when I woke up but that's not totally out of the ordinary in Japan. GF at the time said I was nuts and it was defo a dream. I have slept walk a few times in my life, and have slept-drunk walk a few more so... 50/50? To be safe I didn't go back there for about 6 months.

A recurring "theme" in a dream I have is getting to Burning Man without any film. (Yes, I use film cameras only). To emphasize the point above, it's never really real burning man though... always just some gathering in some weird place. But, I'm pissed at myself for not having prepared.

I can't remember particulars but once I dreamt a solution to a problem and it worked in real life.

My dreams are usually filled with places, people and settings that are all mixed up. Like I might dream about my first job, but the people in the dream are current or live in the USA etc.

Quite often i'm running away from something that is always just behind me no matter how fast I go.

Scary ones are when you dream of your ex girlfriend/wife and you're getting on great only to realize your waking up to your current wife next to you after erotic/love fantasies of your ex.

I try and write down the good ones that would make for a smashing short story. Otherwise it's just random shit. Like random lady at work telling me she was a farmer. iight? Or one time there was this dude who came into the bathroom at work and stood over the sink and spread his ass cheeks, then shit into the sink. Then he started throwing up in the urinal iirc. The janitor came in and started causing a fuss but I defended the poor chap. Anyone that can shit through their pants is a hero.

I'm sure I've got enough material to warrant a psychiatric assessment. I get a mixture of lucid and passive dreams, often the lucid ones will end with a Monty Python-esque "this started out as a nice dream about nuclear war but now it's got silly" and I'll tell myself, within the dream, to wake up. And I will. No hard drug use, no medications - just an excellent visual memory and overactive imagination thanks to OCD. As enjoyable as they often are (when they aren't so realistic that they cause a solid 5-30 minute "dreams vs. reality" confusion), I'd quite like to have normal dreams like just running or my teeth falling out.

For starters, the other night I was Rory McGrath (90s British comedian - thanks for that, memory) and I was trying to take a shit on a board game without anyone else noticing. Aye, dreams are beautiful windows into the soul indeed!

My brain has been able to concot dreams that are not only properly-told events, but also make sense within the context of their themes. However, I don't like having them because I don't rest well when that happens...

Like the time I dreamed I was playing a side-sequel to the Blade Runner game for PC, which happens more or less concurrently with the film's events, and this one also happened around the time Deckard was chasing the replicants. The lifeless, hazy, too-red sunset? Check. Flying police vehicle? Check. Trenchcoat? Check. Oh, and it was the Holodeck version, no VR shenanigans... which meant I had to physically drag myself from the car to the back entrance of a hospital because I had been shot from behind in between the ribcage and pelvic bone, and because the main entrance door was busted, while "Blade Runner Blues" played, and the cuts showing my progress faded in and out matching Scott's direction. The afroamerican nurse turned to look at me the moment the automatic doors opened, screamed "Oh, my God, you're bleeding! We got an injured Runner over here, hurry! Injured Runner!" and that's when I woke up, not feeling refreshed.

When you dream you find a rare non-existent Eliminate Down 2 cart only near the door of a shop, and for $5.00, then you've had one of the best dreams ever.

Yes, I've had that dream before.

I had a recurring nightmare as a kid, this bald pale as a ghost guy in a cape, and face half covered would appear in a few nightmares of mine, one of them was recurring. He was an evil emperor in a land that does not exist, I accidentally entered his land, he would send his goons to try and kill me (this nightmare would reoccur over at least a decade, twice a year, waking up in the dark, and the images of the dream I could still see on my walls till I turned on a light). In another dream he and I would toss around some rubbery thing that would change weight, from light as a feather, to one point he catches it, and it sends him through the floor. He'd pop up in 1 or 2 other nightmares throughout my life, and I know it's not someone I've ever seen, or met in real life.

i've been a heavy dreamer for my entire life (i'm ocd), adulthood made it considerably more complicated with complex-ptsd, some recreational drug use (most people say weed gives them better, dreamless sleep, it does the opposite for me - my dreams ramp up), etc. i recently got done spending a year and a half having frighteningly real dreams nearly every single night, which was having a dramatic effect on my "state of being." flashbacks, indescribable emotional terror, panic attacks - all because of these dreams, which weren't even nightmares, just too real and too upsetting to leave and forget the majority of each night. the first night that i tried a new medication that helped me recover, i had a sleep paralysis episode in which a guest who was visiting seemed to be trying to murder me or taint my soul while i couldn't move. i woke up feeling great, though, and immediately realized on how good i felt that what i'd been experiencing was much worse than daily sleep paralysis.

i probably have hundreds and hundreds of pages of dream describing and discussion among friends. i don't think i want to talk about this at length on here because my dreams are... sometimes really fraught. i'll give you one, though! last night's dream had a bunch of weird ones, some common and recurring things, etc. lots of 'normal' (for me) dark things - sex abuse, murder, betrayal, etc. the narrative structure of this dream is lost to me, it's but a blur of half-remembered threads.

however, at one point not long before waking up, i had to - while in some variety of thorough and complicated disguise, in an incomprehensibly absurd symposium cum theater - sample various pieces of meat from a luxury (i say "luxury," but the theater was decayed, the people here were reveling and considered the meat a luxury - perhaps devils? i can't remember) table to not give away my identity. i literally go by "kittens" in real life, and one of the containers (second from the one beginning on the left, whose experience with i can no longer remember) that was able to dispense meat would deliver a small, square-cut piece of "kittens" (or so i could tell by the crude label). i began thinking my cover was blown and that the were simply humiliating me, but realized that if they hadn't found me out, reacting in any other way surely give me away. maybe it was just the meat of young cats and this was a coincidence, and the collaborator i was trying to reach was doing this to test me. as i took a piece with my fingers, i noticed the texture was soft, that there was still a bit of moist heat radiating off of it. i put it into my mouth with as little obvious hesitation i felt i could realistically muster given that i might be eating myself, and felt it was delightfully tender, like eating a fine lamb. it felt like it had been marinaded or broiled in some sort of salty broth, hence why it was so moist. as i ate it, i continued dreaming - but entered into that state of "waking up" in which memories and understanding began to rapidly dissipate. as i realized i "tasted pretty good," i truly woke.
