I know this is possibly a very dumb question, but after trying myself for quite some time I can't figure out to get the files out of a .lzh file.
Winzip is chosen as the default application to open the file, but trying to extract results in some message about "to long file name" or the like.
I have quite a lot doujin demos downloaded, but most are compressed in this format.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Try WinRAR, I believe it handles lha and lzh files. If not, try lha for Windows, that should work. Of course the 'filename too long' error may be related to your localization settings -- do you have eastern languages installed?
We here shall not rest until we have made a drawing-room of your shaft, and if you do not all finally go down to your doom in patent-leather shoes, then you shall not go at all.

7zip is also an excellent freeware archiver/unpacker.
http://www.7-zip.org/
It will unzip lzh and it seems fairly adept at handling japanese character sets.
