To be fair, most of Taito's output (outside the obvious favourites) is largely untapped even by those who'd consider themselves big arcade gamers. Even on here, the handful of games I mentioned, for example, are unlikely to see much discussion, though they merit plenty. XoPachi's was a nice idea!

Yeah, that's true.

Case in point, I only got to know about Raimais when I stumbled across this blog post; there's so much love for the game there, you would be hard pressed to not diving straight into the game and spending a few hours with it like I did. I still need to work on that good ending 1CC though.

AFAIK, Space Invaders Extreme, Groove Coaster, and SI Infinity Gene were from internal teams at Taito.

Did anyone ever locate a Vertexer board? Meaning anyone that would dump it? I'm sure it's shown up on Yahoo at some point.

Taito's a weird one. Stellar output (I mean, they have their on music "band") but to tell a youngster now that it was one of the "Big 3" when arcades were in their infancy, they'd probably choke on their avocado toast. And of course, it being founded by a non-Japanese (in Japan) is pretty amazing. Wikipedia says that his daughter, who lives in SoCal, still owns 8.5% of the stock!

I think I remember some years ago, Shou had access to the board.
Dunno if anything happened after that, though.
