People in the United States need more fulfilling hobbies— that's my new conclusion from all of the bad attitude on vaccine progress and health compliance. So starved for identity that they're willing to put other peoples' lives/livelihood on the line just to define themselves; that's not a healthy society.

The whole point of civilization was to move out of the jungle, not reinvent it.

Nah. I understand how you feel, but it's not that simple. You're being kind of glib. I'm not saying that people don't deserve it, but it's not truth.

People are going nuts because we are social beings and we need people. The whole part about being tied to a story instead of learning to understand your true self is very important, but it's another journey altogether. Would an entire country filled with positively self-actualized individuals react better to the situation? Yes, of course, but that doesn't mean that people wouldn't still want to get back to their social activities and classrooms and offices and gyms.

Nah, people in the United States have been driven crazy by decades of intense anti-solidarity propaganda financed by the oligarch class.

Talking to a conservative in the US is nearly impossible today because they live in a completely different reality and won't stipulate to basic facts.

There's a reason Rush Limbaugh was given the Medal of Freedom by Trump.
Two working class dudes, one black one white, just baked a tray of ten cookies together.

An oligarch walks in and grabs nine cookies for himself.

Then he says to the white dude "Watch out for that black dude, he wants a piece of your cookie!"

I'm still amazed at how effectively the internet has been sanitized of Rush Limbaugh as Ronald McDonald.

It's a good start, though. Now, if we could only blot up the rest of his sleaze and bury it in the same dustbin.

Yeah, its crazy you have conservatives defending prominent domestic terror attacks because they perceive the perpetrators to be on "their side."

Trump plunged us in the the post-truth era, where facts don't matter, education is seen as something to be feared, and racial identity politics guide all else.

Few dozen millennia maybe. We've always been apes, it's never been about anything but social status.

Rationalizing why things are just fine is a time honored tradition. There were people who hated chimneys, never forget.

Now we're coming into a beautiful age where stuff like rejuvenating the epigenome will be possible, but we won't have gasoline in like 30 years. The first of the really big water wars Harris talked was between India + Pakistan. It's gonna be great.

2nd US Civil War is indeed the intended Phase 5 of these 0ps. We are in Phase 2.
Phases 3 and 4 are 'supposed' to be a West Coast Boom and a long US Blackout. But Hey, we'll see. We're talking about the future, so its an educated guess based on their predictive programming.

...and just got my second jab of Pfizer!

The mRNA from the first shot turned me into a soy cuck, and now this second dose is inducing full-blown bimbofication!

It's kinda like Cronenberg's "The Fly," only instead of turning into a hideous man/insect hybrid, I'm slowly turning into a ditzy blonde with enormous tits.

It sounds extremely strange. And if without allegories, how do you feel after the second dose of the vaccine? As a rule, people feel good, but you may have individual sensitivities.

Vax manufacturers feel good with billions in gross income from selling jabs. :+) Research and development was supplemented by public money from America and Germany. No doubt they will dodge paying taxes on the profits. In fact, they have climbed up on the cross and written themselves a little sign to remind us how little profit they are getting!

How big of a savings did you get? Well, even if Pfizer really spent $1 billion usd on development with no subsidy (a claim I don't believe), that's still a $17.5 billion gross profit. Even after they pay salaries, lease, and the utility bill, I bet they have a tidy sum. (Even at these "bargain" rates.)

And, pardon me for my skepticism when the salesperson tells me I need a booster. My doctor will need to tell me that.

Sales people can never be trusted, because their existence and livelihoods depend on sales--not looking out for me. That's salesmen/saleswomen in every trade. Every person (everywhere) is looking out for number one. Transparency and accountability are your only hope.

So, I need a real doctor (not a self promoting sham like Fauci) to recommend the booster. (Yes, Trump called Fauci that, but that's the pot calling the kettle black. They can both be self promoting cunts. It's not one or the other.) People will lie when there's a $10+ billion jackpot waiting (assuming we still get a preferred rate). Blindly trusting someone that can make billions in pure profit from another round of jabs would be awfully thick.

Going to get my first shot tomorrow. Even though I don't feel like I'm at a paticularly high risk, they're offering it now, so .. can't wait to hear what the 5G space aliens have to say.

In other news, Canada suspended the AstraZeneca vaccine due to the rare risk of blood clots. https://www.ctvnews.ca/health/coronavir ... -1.5437073

How fucking horseshoe-theory do you have to be to see millions of normie Americans experience for the first time free-at-the-point-of-service government-provided health care executed with a speed and efficiency that blows even the most optimistic projections out of the water, and your response is, "fuck this noise, I see the code in the matrix, and all this free healthcare is a total scam, maaan!"

Quit watching Jimmy Dore. Are you like Kevin Pollak's character in "Casino?" You think they book Jimmy Dore on Tucker cuz he's smart?

I support universal health care. I don't support listening to corporate salesmen and self promoting opportunists for advice.

You're thick. You're working with the same people responsible for crafting and maintaining the current overpriced American health care system. And, now it's time to trust them? Write them a blank cheque? When did these people start caring about anything but money?

No thanks. I'll ask my doctor before I place my order.

Also, don't put words in my mouth and make it sound like I play hacky sack in the park wearing a rasta hat. You sound more like "that guy" than me.

P.S. The Matrix is a stupid movie and I have never seen it all in one sitting. There's nothing good about it. The plot is nonsensical and the lead actors draw unintentional laughs delivering lines that are meant to convey drama. It's a steaming disaster of a film.

I don't recall Casino. Gangster movies had hecome a cliched formula by then. I knew what to expect, so I didn't bother. Don't know about the character in question.

Just my 2 cents, which is as always, correct - America fucks up almost anything related to healthcare, but all my bitching and moaning about vaccine handling these days are levied directly at Japan, who HAS a decent healthcare system that prevents people from going broke, or dying b/c they don't have money. Absolutely shit the fucking mattress, all the while hoping to host the Olympics? Meanwhile not only are Americans actually starting to live their lives again, non-citizens (like, not even residents, just fucking foreigners) can walk up and have a good chance at getting a shot... but of course there's a conspiracy, and the man who has served under 7 presidents is at the heart of it.

I didn't say he's at the heart of a conspiracy. Quote where I said that. Oops! :-)

You can't. :-(

I did say I don't trust him and he's a shameless self promoter.

Riddle me this: Can I provide Laffer and Friedman legitimacy by citing their work with presidents and governours, too? ;-)

I don't trust a salesman/saleswoman, either.

Asked me for money with the explanation: "so I don't have to wear a tie". :-)

Also, known to use that particular pronunciation of the term "man". As in, "hey m-aaan, can you spare a dollar so I don't have to wear a tie?" May also wear a Phish tshirt and say stuff like "don't taze me, bro."

Let's say that your doctor does eventually recommend getting a booster; what precisely about his/her recommendation would make it more palatable than one coming from Fauci or the CDC in general, save that the latter are more visible figures? Moreover, would such a concurring opinion cause you to reconsider, to at least some extent, your inherent distrust of "establishment" (or whatever you might label it) medicine...assuming you, for some reason, don't consider your doctor part of that cadre?

You also said you that despite reports that Pfizer wasn't part of operation warp speed, you "don't believe it". Fine, you're entitled to not do that but you're basically the same as these Q-Anon dip shits that invoke "the media is lying about everything / the data is wrong" which makes any type of debate pointless.

Think how many anti-vaxxers have fantastic doctors but they don't trust them b/c they suggest any vaccine. I guess they have the wrong doctors? This is part of the reason why we're in this mess. Yokels who read crap on social media while taking a shit and deciding they're smarter than doctors who... you know... have actually studied this shit.

Your coming off as both defensive and disrespectful gaijin

Orange808 is entitled to his opinions and telling he’s the same as a “Q’anon dipshit” is not a respectable debate.

You guys start these threads pretending their debatable and resort to Q’anon every time you feel defensive.

This part of shmups is and always has been disgusting the way you guys treat good folk around here because of their “differing opinions” and you guy pretend to be “diverse” by bringing up Oligarchs and political banter like the “Onion” around here..

Keep it respectful or don’t comment. I really don’t appreciate the way you guys bully people here. I consider it The true form of “hatemongering”
