Remember The Goo Goo Dolls?

Iris by The Goo Goo Dolls is their biggest song to date and was featured in the soundtrack for City of Angels, a 1998 romantic drama starring Nicolas Cage and Meg Ryan. The movie was met with mixed reviews from critics but was a box office hit and received numerous accolades for its soundtrack. Iris was likely the single most listened to song in 1998. The mainstream success of the song cannot be understated.

I always thought The Goo Goo Dolls were one of the better inoffensive soft rawk bands of the 90s. I never liked them enough to want to buy any of their albums, but I never really minded hearing them whenever I did.

You know when youve been working late and get stuck in endless traffic going home and classic rock play the fucking googoo dolls and you wish the whole goddamn world would just explode right now.. yeah I remember them..
