First post in ages. Ah, memory lane... There is something heart-warming when reminiscing about dumpster fires of yore... Love these posts, GP. Keep them up.

A while back BIL posted two such gems: the tale of EdmondDantes (taking place both here and in HG101) and Scotland's great Shiki II theft, perpetrated by 4D lizardmen.

Fun stuff, man. Keep them coming. :P

4D Lizardmen From Glasgow is bar-none some of the best weird fiction I've ever read, and a testament to messageboards' utility as a storytelling medium.

Best of all, IT REALLY HAPPENED

Will do my best -- unfortunately some of the good ones are in the old Trading Station which, unfortunately, is gone (or hidden).

I'm sure Dantes' antics are old news for the older people here, but I was mostly referring to his recent banning from HG101. Specifically, a thread he made there about a little girl who complained to Chuck E Cheese because one of their games was too hard, which struck me as very amusing given that that's exactly what he did with NG (and subsequently got the NG thread started).
If anyone's interested, see here.

EDIT: BIL beat me to it. :)

I just noticed that the scammer link was posted on the Late Realizations thread and not here, so if anyone's curious here it is, courtesy of BIL.

Oh my fucking god. WHAT AM I READING
Jesus shout outs to all the crusty old fucks who were around in 2005 and still post. You must have eyes and tentacles growing out your necks by now.

I think anyone who plays shmups, or especially who buys them, including myself, is only a small mental-step from becoming this guy. Let that be a warning.

ya fuckin' lizards

Edit: jesus i wish I'd known about this shop when i went to Glasgow this year.. in the unlikely event of it still being there. Although I suspect it exists in a different way to my simple linear understanding of time.

I wish I could remember how I found that thread, I suspect it was while browsing around NintendoAge forums. Actually, I'm gonna be extra-careful and say someone else probably brought it in from there - I'd hate to falsely take credit!

Regardless, it's one of those perfectly filmic little forum gems, with a sharply-drawn cast, a strong plot arc, and a satisfying yet hauntingly open conclusion! Viva the implacable yet wryly comic BeaglePuss! This is hard-boiled internet crime fighting with real-time cinema display! Image

A fine DGAF quote, perhaps rivaling M. Bison's "But for me, it was Tuesday". :)

A curiosity search reveals that CA games went defunct quite some years ago. At least, in this dimension.

Another excellent read. If you want the full effect i think it's better top read from the beginning. Hopefully my laughing out loud at work doesn't make my coworkers realize I'm not actually doing anything.

I just remembered who the OP was. The best kinds of scrub are the ones that insist games are hardcoded to be impossible because they are shit at them! (or in his case, because their fingers are too fat to operate the controller, obviously)

Thanks. No, I think he was just some weirdo who stank up the English-speaking STG sphere circa Raiden Fighters Aces' release. Common sense would suggest a troll, but my Poe Detector's not in the best shape after years of heavy Chris Chan and Ahuviya Harel exposure.

I wonder what I posted in the FAPJAC thread before I deleted it. Probably something to do with how shit the English side were in the world cup that year. That's a topic that used to start him on a delusional jingoistic rant about 1966, the CPS changer, or "day one".

Someone should look up Sven666's old tokyo vacation tribute thread!

No idea why I started this thread right after losing my job, then not keeping up with it through this god damn pandemic. Anyway, pretty easy target for Vol. 4.
