This may be relevant in the future in the shmups category if I finally crack the real time clock checks that keep some Konami games from booting. Friend of mine bought a Battle Tryst pcb and it came in with the real time clock sub pcb completely missing. So the only way that it’ll ever play games is if the real time clock check never occurs in the first place.
So far I’ve figured out many ways to break the bios and disc lol. Making headway but I wanted to catalog my progress through the project for fun / show others my working methodology so maybe more RTC boards can be cracked in the future.
If anyone has any thoughts on the matter please lmk. Hive mind might help on this.
