MSX Patch Help. Gradius 2 enhancement on SONY F1XDJ

I have a F1XDJ and I am trying to apply the Gradius Smooth scrolling and Color Palette patch to my ROM and load into my MEGAFLASHROM SCC+ on an SD card.

My problem is the patch is in a .XPC format and wont play nice with my IPS patcher.

Has anyone successfully patched this game for real hardware and if not can someone PM me and discuss pre patched ROM options?
