Arcade machine display tilt (I need your opinions!)

I've been rolling around building a MAME cab and I sort of like the look of the oldskool machines with the heavy screen tilt.
How are they to play shmups on?

This is the tilt angle I'm talking about, very deep.

Terrible, just like with a normal cocktail (of which I consider those closer to than uprights). There's a reason anybody sane playing on cabs play on candies.

Well, I've added more forward tilt to my design now.

I'd love to use wood grain and black plastic trim when done.
Going to use some yellow buttons and sticks.
Hopefully it looks early 80's hideous when finished.

It's going to be a cabaret style like the ones below...
