You... bought... this??? Does it even work?

30 Bucks shipping? That's a ripoff. No, I mean it. UPS can get it there for less than 20.

Oh boy. I hope you need only one of your kidneys. :P :P :P

See, Greg? And you adviced me against that Dreamcast BBA for 100 bucks.

^ @Spec: I like your quote 8).

jp, I think that amount is about as much as I have wasted on games in my entire life. I pity you.

$1,500 game system...whoo boy. I think my car's worth less than that...imagine if I'd bought this thing, the Saturn would be more expensive than the car I'd be able to put it in, heh.

That Saturn is pretty much worthless imo.
Are you seriously going to play Radiant SilverGun in the car?
Are you really going to refer to your Saturn when you get lost...only because you missed that turn due to intense chaining in SilverGun!?
Is the original Saturn really that ugly compared to this one?
Couldn't you spend that wad on something else, like maybe some PCB's and a CAB?
Do you really need anything else to put into a car to encourage thieves?

Personally, a Sega Saturn that will wipe your own ass would be a better investment.

there are those white ones...just add toilet paper...

That much for headers?
The Shmup-o's have no idea what we're talking about now!!! 8)

What the hell were they, Hooker Super Comps with dual pipes, or what!?
Seriously, a really good set of headers shouldn't set you back more that $500.00 bills.

Bro, I'm paying $1500 for it, so yeah, I'm going to be carrying it EVERYWHERE I go playing Saturn EVERYWHERE. While you silly geese have your DSs and PSPs... I'll be pimpin' Radiant Silvergun on the go. WHUT!

Mmmmm... love that Saturn. *maniacal laugh*

Think about it guys:

I could beat my own Blast Wind high score, under a tree.
I could get my second Radiant Silverung 1CC, in a mall.
I could play through Panzer Dragoon Saga, during a road trip!
I could... frickin'... play NiGHTS on a roller coaster!!!!

Whenever... wherever... I can play Saturn constantly... in class... at work... driving home...

NOTHING BUT SATURN GOODNESS... FOREVER... 24/7... I... CAN... PLAY... SATURN!

Or rather, will be able to shortly. :)

Man oh man.

Some reasons why I wouldn't have it.

You can't actually use it as a portable because it's too big, too expensive, too rare, too delicate, so are the games and you have to find somewhere to plug it in. You're not going use it at home because why would you when it's a million times better playing it on a TV. I would spent that kind of money upgrading to a candy cab with money to spare than downgrade to a little TFT screen. Obviously its your money etc etc etc.

How big is the screen anyways?

With a price like that I'd be too afraid to touch it let alone carry it around.
It would be locked in a sealed display cabinet forever! :)

Anyway congratulations!

*sigh*

You know, I was actually trying to figure out what the chances are that someone out there has a Navi HiSaturn, Derisoba, and the same amount, if not more, Saturn games than I do, including all of the rare/expensive ones, as well as a Panzer Dragoon collection that can hold its own against mine (which I highly doubt one exists since I have a lot of shit straight from Team Andromeda). Only 200 copies of Derisoba exist, and they were given out during an obscure show... meh, it makes my head hurt. Let me pay for this ish before I start contemplating whether or not I REALLY need a $1000 game I'll never play. 8)

As for not carrying it around, fuck that. If I'm paying $1500 for this shit, you damn straight I'm going to get my money's worth. And I'll find some way to power it dammit! If I have to carry some kind of generator backpack around... I'll find a way!

I don't know how big the screen is, don't really care. Its a portable Saturn, I ain't lookin' a gift horse in the mouth. I will confess though that shmuppery will be nigh on impossible on that screen.

Sadly TF, it doesn't come with the GPS software. Apparently I have to figure that whole thing out seperately. But trust me, I will. And my Saturn will ride shotgun almost everywhere (obviously not to Wal-Mart... only places where I'll be taking it inside with me, I'm not letting this thing leave my sight).

Why do people see someone spending $1500 in one go and think that's going too far? Think about how much money people spend on various forms of leisure cumulatively (not to mention cars... i hate those money sinks... that's why I drive a bomb :P). That saturn KICKS ASS and won't decrease in value. Most people invest in things they love.

p.s. Though if I bought it, I wouldn't be carrying it anywhere :P

Kooks w/stainless coating (I live near chicago).

http://www.ls1speed.com/catagory.cfm?catagory=exhaust

Scroll down the to Kooks section.

LT Headers + Y was around $1200 (3"). The stainless coating was around $260. I needed O2 extensions as well, locking manifold bolts, new bands.

At the same time I bought a new clutch/fly/p-plate, gaskets, new hydraulics, etc.... for a clutch upgrade.

The grand total was around $2200 or $2400. It was last years "fun project" which I'm still messing with. I hate the clutch chatter and am gonna put the stock one back on to make sure it gets rid of it.

There's enough chatter that my tranny slams against the bottom of my car if I try to take off "nicely" instead of doing a 1800-2100 RPM take off.

This year it will be new control arms for the rear, ls6 intake, and I dunno what else. I really need to figure out how to hold the transmission in place better. The exhaust slams the bottom of the car when I shift hard at max RPMs.

jp, what stuff do you have 'straight from team andromeda,' how'd you get it, etc. Inquiring minds want to know :)

Someday you have to come to a shmupmeet...I want to see/play 300+ saturn games

Original 01 Model for Lagi. Some concept art from Manabu-san. And I assume the plush Lagi I have came from there, but I don't really know, Akie never told me.

All of this came from a friend of mine who was married to a background designer who worked for Sega during that time. She hooked me up with a lot of stuff PD related since I love the series so much. :D In fact, she's the person who got me the LE Panzer Dragoon Xbox as well as my plush Reala. :)

Though her husband and her have since divorced, but I guess its good since he was apparently a jerk or something.

Edit:
No, you can't hack the other portable screens. The screen goes into the cart slot on Saturns and hooks into one of the connections on the back. So I guess this means I can't use my floppy disk drive and my LCD screen at the same time on any given Saturn.
