Liking the fact he managed to squeeze "dude, I'm sorry!" in before sys11 actually had time to ban his account.

Reminded me of Cyber-Lip's "I'm a goner" as you drop off the screen.

I'm guessing he just copy and pasted someone from the LGBT thread, or did he actually share something private about someone?

The former. (and then I think he brought up Kamui again?)
I was about to be like "dude just look at the last page", not realizing that he'd blanked his posts.

e: @trap15: even the quote in the reply has been blanked out. I had no idea this site even worked like that.

It's quoted in a reply to it, if you care. And yes Drake, that is indeed the late realization. The late realization ever.

Was Manabu Namiki just having a laugh? (if it was indeed he who put the sample in. Is he known to use samples in his work?)
Trying to resist going full conspiratard here but (if you know the film) thats an oddly specific reference

Then again, it appears to get sampled a lot, so maybe it was inserted "just cause it sounds cool". Also, the classic 80's tv horror series Tales from the Darkside, comes to mind. It featured and intro that while not as eloquent, has obvious similarities.

Can we have this as the coda to the thread? It's over, it'll never get better/worse than this. It's come full circle back to page 1:

That slow burn in this thread since late December is something else. Obviously ag99 had something on the mind.

Better go check my Steam account preferences.

Speaking of late realizations, until now I always heard the quote as"the mind of man rests on a delicate balance between reality and the world of light"

Was always amused by the implication of "the world of light" being something other than reality, one of those lyrics that becomes less entertaining when properly heard, I suppose. Oh well. Still a fun sample.

Same here, didn't actually think about it. The quote as used in DS really makes no sense when it's only half of it. To be honest though, the movie looks pretty interesting. If my phrasing made it come across like some kind of perverted rape porn, that's clearly not the case. Though I haven't seen it, it seems pretty psychological in its approach.

The quote has indeed been used a lot in music, but I think in order to get a "clean" version for the track, Namiki would have had to take it directly from the source, so he must know what it is. Could be though that they just wanted to avoid something obvious like Twilight Zone, to prevent a lawsuit. :P

I'd be honoured. ;3 However, what should the ending BGM be? Here's a couple I've thought of:

Too Late For Apologies / Frozen
The Theme of Nick Clegg

Strangely enough some parts of the movie were also sampled in Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2. The movie doesn't seem to be that popular to warrant being sampled that often.

Poor kid.

I hope he learns an actual lesson from this and doesn't just trash another classroom.

He'll probably become president in 2036.
Two working class dudes, one black one white, just baked a tray of ten cookies together.

An oligarch walks in and grabs nine cookies for himself.

Then he says to the white dude "Watch out for that black dude, he wants a piece of your cookie!"

I was about to make a post joking that people would come to this thread to announce their realization of atheistgod's ban. Didn't think it would start this soon.

The only real issue with Ninja Gaiden's camera (which everyone loves to complain about) is that it doesn't do this, and today I learned that it's all Konami's fault. :x
I know it's a Japanese patent and nigh impossible to challenge there, but didn't Virtual On Cybertroopers did it first in 1996 with dithered flashing textures?

Kato Kaelin seems like a decent conversationalist/ok dude. Got some old episodes of Opie & Anthony on as background noise, wasn't looking forward to his interview with them. I'd always assumed he was some bimbo/car crash from vague memories of ye olde 1994. Wasn't a bad listen at all, nice positive start to this shitty morning. Besides the whole OJ murdering everyone thing obv.
