Retrogaming in Kyushu?

Post by nihonmasa »

Hi guys,

i'll be heading to Kyushu in a few months, and I wondered if any of you knew some good retro gaming shops over there.
There ought to be some, at least in Fukuoka.

I mainly collect famicom, Pc Engine and Neo Geo :)

Thanks in advance for any tip!

The obvious answer is to jump on a train and head to Nipponbashi in Osaka.

Well, I do know the shops in DenDen town but that's a bit (XD) far and furthermore I'll drive a car, as usual when I'm in Japan.
So I don't want to waste at least a day driving to get to Osaka and return ;)
I'm pretty sure there are some small shops in Kyushu, but I do not know them.

Hmm... bizarre choice.

I'm an idiot. I read that as Kyoto.

I think there are. If you go to Assemblergames, check around there - -specifically ask Yakumo, as he lives in the area.

Not at all! being able to go freely where I want, stuff all my shopping in the backseat, go to the islands/mountains/ wherever I want, whether or not there is a train station, when I want... wander accross the lost Hard-offs... is priceless ;)

no worries ^^

Again, that makes more sense considering you're in Kyushu rather than Kyoto. I'm getting old.

There's a Japan forum somewhere near Off Topic. Pretty accessible... minimal snark. ;)
