It is kind of funny that they're kind of like a SI in a hypothetical paperclipping scenario: don't want to tip their hand until they have the absolute power to control everything. It's like fractals - whirls within whirls.

The Flint water crisis seems to be winding down this year. After over $1 billion burned on the debacle. Snyder is getting charged with a "misdemeanor", which seems a little underwhelming considering all the dead babies and such. So far only one person out of 15 charged with anything on this got convicted - Corinne Miller. One year probation, 300 hours community service, $1,200 fine. So I expect nothing, and expect to still be disappointed. You know that Simpsons scene where Burns tells Smithers "Smithers, for attempting to kill me, I'm giving you a five percent pay cut!"? It's kind of sad that the joke here is about ten thousand times more punitive than what these people are going to get in real life. The injustice is far beyond a cartoon, far beyond what is believable.

Talking about cartoons.... fuckin' sigh.

So, the NRA isn't going to pay their bills like stand up Americans that honor a square deal? More carpetbagger northern grifters invading Texas?

The NRA is skipping out on the check--and running south to Texas (very close to Mexico) where people don't pay no bills and hide behind the government! That's what I hear!

That's "those people" like the NRA. I guess the NRA is a bunch of un-American immigrants. Running away to Texas (they aren't from Texas), not paying what they owe, and hiding behind the big government.

Can I cancel all my bills, too?

This article is everything.

The next day, she posted a bathroom mirror selfie on Facebook with the caption: “We’re gonna go down and storm the capitol. They’re down there right now and that’s why we came and so that’s what we are going to do. So wish me luck.” She added: “This is a prelude going to war.”

BREAKING: Donald Trump has been secretly dead for months. Antifa and Black Lives Matter are about to attack so you'd better call this guy.

BREAKING BREAKING: Don't call that guy, Donald Trump is not actually dead after all, he's just going to cut his face off and trade it with Joe Biden.

THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA WILL NOT TELL YOU ABOUT THIS

The ongoing saga of the "QAnon Shaman" is almost as good; not only is he requesting a pardon because he was "nonviolent" (just repeatedly calling for violence against lawmakers with a bullhorn while toting a spear), but is demanding an all-organic prison menu. Man, if this "between jobs" jerk was a BLM protestor - or, God forbid, Antifa - we'd all be wading waist-deep in spittle from all the righties screaming snowflake! and this proves everything I ever said is true!

That being said, for my money the most delicious parts of the aftermath have come in the form of the defenses repeatedly offered in court by the rioters, namely 1) My client was only there because the President told him to be there (so much for personal responsibility - BIG surprise coming after years of slavish support for a guy who has literally not taken responsibility for a single thing that went wrong under his watch ) and 2) It was perfectly reasonable for my client to take his leaders' calls for revolution literally (waitwaitwait - I thought that the people who Get It and Know What's Really Going On were the ones telling the rest of us all these years to Take Trump Seriously, NOT Literally ).

Considering that, last I checked, polls say that somewhere between 60 and 70 percent of Republicans (say they) believe the election was stolen and between 40 and 50 percent approve of the Capitol riot (moreover, considering where polling and reality met these past few elections, it's almost certain that the actual numbers are significantly higher), it seems that a lot of people have been talking straight out of their asses for a very long time. And are now demanding for the millionth time that everyone else reach out across the aisle to ensure that their deeply held concerns are heard.

Off to the side, to anyone wondering if impeaching Trump after he leaves office would be a waste of time: feel free to ignore the ramifications of letting him off scot free after everything that's happened if you must (though I have a lot of questions for you if you do take that route), and just focus your attention on the Former Presidents Act. Even if you somehow don't think there should be any consequences for what's occurred, kick it up a notch and ask yourself if you want to outright reward it. (EDIT: A bit of further reading suggests that as currently written the benefits might only be revoked if impeachment actually removes a President from office, so it seems we'll have to wait and see what happens with this one.)

Considering Bush and Cheney aren't in the Hague, I think he's gonna wiggle his way out of this one too. Unless they really don't want him to be the nominee in four years (as republicans are pathologically unable to Voltron Up like the democrats are. Ya'all refuse to acknowledge it is good that the man poisoned Pence's (the next in line's turn, as Harris and Biden before her was) aspirations a bit).

Anyway. Apocalypse. What does any of this Trumptalk have to do with the extinction event and resource exhaustion we're going through?

Hope he gets plenty of organic dick from his cellmate in a federal prison, alongside Camp Auschwitz shirt man, and Covfeferate Flag Carrier guy.

But these fuckers will probably get off with a slap on the wrist, community service and $500 fine.

Oof, that coin is all kinds of hideous. My first kneejerk reaction was "shouldn't it be 'In Trump We Trust'?" but then I realized, no, they got it right.

It does point out how the faces already on our money are one kind of bastard or another though. It's really not a normal thing a normal society would do, it's just another grooming mechanism further mythologizing our lords. You don't really notice this 1984 shit when you're born into it.

Andrew Jackson being on the most important bill because he's the biggest bastard of them all makes perfect sense - perhaps it'd be more apropos for it to be Reagan soon, but they'll have to retcon his backstory into him being one of the "founding fathers" somehow. Or they can just say Trump used a time machine and saved our country from being founded by the Chinese or whatever.

It's one of many scams aimed at gullible GOP members, selling crappy Trump-branded products to cash in on their idiocy. Their anti-intellectualism and unthinking hero worship is a disaster for everyone, themselves included.

That's all he deserves, despite what the media is shrieking as loudly as it can, a lot of this was not a big deal when put in perspective. The shaman (he practises "life magic" apparently) appears to be a general anti-establishment protester also seen at some of the 2020 protests, any excuse to wear the shaman hat. Harmless. It's time to be honest about that, you're sleepwalking into terrifying levels of authoritarianism at the moment. Just look at the mass hysteria from the newly re-empowered establishment class.

If I announced that some people were known to be hiding former Parler users in their basement, CNN would be all over them. It's that ridiculous now.

Oh - bonus side-note: Fuck Mitch McConnell, allegedly he's a main reason Assange is probably going to stay on the naughty list.

I doubt that me carrying a spear into a ball game and refusing to obey a guard's order to vacate the area the way he did in the capitol, could be considered harmless. However, I will be happy if they get similar (but commensurate) sentences to the ones handed out to the detained BLM rioters, such as Lil' Slugger over here.

They broke into fucking Congress while they were certifying election results. The last thing anything remotely like that happened is when we divorced you guys. It was only harmless b/c they didn't find any body. You think those yokels would have "peacefully demonstrated" had Nancy Pelosi been around?

Perhaps it seems harmless through the lens of a land where citizens aren't armed to the fucking teeth. The fact that only 1 was shot baffles me.

You mean this guy?

Mind you, not every protester present that day stormed the Capitol, and I'm sure that at least some of those who did were mainly there just to break shit and take selfies (still an attempt to upend the functions of government and a criminal act, mind you), but nothing short of willful, self-serving ignorance could give birth to the notion that there weren't quite a few people there who, as mentioned in my previous post, took the "take your country back from the traitors" rhetoric very seriously.

No it isn't, dude. Conservatives are not the new Holocaust victims, no matter how much the constant whining to that effect has enabled them to get away with for decades running now.

Yes that guy, he's deluded but I don't find him particularly threatening, he literally believes in magic. At one point (there's a very good video I've linked below) he makes an attempt at some kind of sermon to god. If you want to know who I do find most worrying in the video it's the guys at the end around the camera equipment, those are the ones to be wary of, it's the combined words and mannerisms. It's a good video IMO in that it captures a variety of the people there including the truly harmless, the mostly harmless, the ones with an actual agenda and the harmful. It captures a mix of people literally storming the entrance and people kind of being let in to wander. It's impossible to reconcile the increasing level of hysteria with footage of people trying carefully to open a door to the house without damaging it though (lead up to shaman posing & sermon segment).

Tell that to the people who tried to build their own platform. I use the basement analogy because there's a "newspaper" here literally identifying politicians who had accounts on the service, despite it being mostly "Ben Shapiro Land" and incredibly boring as a platform. Seriously, I signed up and read it for a week sometime last year because I dislike Twitter, but it just wasn't worth reading - bland from wall to wall. Apparently it got worse around November and Amazon probably had valid cause to shut it down overall if their side of the story is to be believed. That aside, now we have guilt by association and shaming of people who simply had accounts there at all - cornerstones of liberal values (note: sarcasm). You can find organisation of crime and hate on Facebook (and in fact, people did), even Salon have pointed it out:

https://www.salon.com/2021/01/16/despite-parler-backlash-facebook-played-huge-role-in-fueling-capitol-riot-watchdogs-say/

So we should probably ban that too and make sure we produce a list of anyone who has an account there. Minds.com is next, in fact it's already started.

I think the cancel stick is waved pretty easily these days for anyone. I actually feel kind of bad for FB. The internet never forgets - but everyone using it does. 4 years ago nobody would shut up that FB and the like did nothing to curb Russian disinformation and Trumps win was partially on them. Reacting to that criticism has now gotten them labelled McCarthyists.

A business local to me will likely never open again (or will with a fraction of the business) as the owner and a few employees were "outed" as being at the protest. It's been tagged at least once and I know he has had at least one vendor laugh at him when he inquired about services. I'm rather torn. Flying to DC to be there (sans journalists) is a good indicator that you believe the stolen election bullshit. You were at a rally where at least some participants beat a cop to death, and hundreds broke into and ransacked a govt building in session whether you did or not. Guilt by association? Not sure you deserve to lose your livelihood. Everyone deserves the right to protest. What you choose to protest carries consequences, obviously.

Worth noting that Parler is owned by billionaire faildaughter turned fairy godmother of the alt-right Rebekah Mercer. Owner of Breitbart. The same republican megadonor who made Ted Cruz cuck himself for Trump after his defiance at the 2016 RNC. Remember when Trump fired Steve Bannon, yet despite him being on the outs with the president, the media held its breath on declaring Bannon finished or not until they saw who the Mercers sided with?

So it's not like this website was a mom & pop garage creation made with a shoestring budget, they have the money to build their own servers if Rebekah deems it a worthwhile investment.

The problem with this whole cancel culture debate is it presupposes that tech monopolies are here to stay, so we peons are yelling at each other, "don't provoke the monopolies' wrath!" The US has the antitrust laws on the books that once did the unthinkable act of breaking up "Ma Bell." The whole reason things have gotten this bad in the first place was a change in antitrust policy beginning in the early 80s under the Reagan administration and happily continued by subsequent neoliberal republican and democratic presidents that said as long as prices for consumers don't go up, monopolies like Amazon and Facebook are hunky-dory. That's how we're now in a position where if you even want to participate in public speech, you need to be on good terms with this handful of megacorps.

It's a pure act of prosecutorial discretion. If Bernie Sanders were president now, guaranteed his AG would be pursuing antitrust against big tech right now. While the "anti-authority renegades" in the Trump administration took action to end net-neutrality, opening the doors to many new and exciting ways for Big Tech to censor Q in the future.

So I'm happy to discuss the horrifying implications of Parler being smooshed in this performative pillow-fight between oligarchs, but the real fulcrum of change at the moment is the antitrust decisions of the Attorney General, not the language chosen by TV news producers.

Honestly, I personally do believe some level of the 'stolen election bullshit', but it's more that too many things are strange looking and have not been adequately addressed. It's something you need to refute with proof, not just say "no we're not talking about this" cheered on by media who have ceased to even pretend to be even handed, and assisted by the Silicon Valley stooges so it's been made worse than it had to be. And if you can't prove it, there's an even bigger problem. Hopefully by next time they'll change things such that proving and disproving fraud becomes quite simple. This is discounting the bewildering and insane clown world of Sydney Powell and focusing on rules being changed / broken / unconstitutional. Things like dead people voting should not happen and did, vote harvesting also did definitely happen, but the Trump campaign should not have been making these claims about large numbers but failing to present the raw evidence. "It's coming soon" - little did but it was also more than nothing. For a developed world power it looked sketchy as fuck even if it wasn't, I actually didn't learn until this year that the states appear to have slightly different rules. How is that a thing?

You can't blame voters being suspicious when the carrying on seems almost deliberately suspicious, on multiple sides. You also can't really blame people being frankly sore at losing their representation again having been ignored by the globalist (with bonus progressive lip service) machine for years. One person comes along and says he cares about them and American culture, I think on some level he actually did but that's somewhat irrelevant. He was not given a fair chance and hit with dirty bullshit tactics for years (Russiagate), they're back in the wilderness again now and to rub salt in the wound one of the few voices advocating for the future of local businesses being decimated by Covid shutdowns is silenced. You do know exactly what is in the Biden administration tin, it doesn't even need a label. I bet you could write it all down this afternoon and hit 80% correct on a 4 year forecast.

That said, I did bother to watch video interviews with some of the people in DC and there were some there protesting pretty much the entire political circus, that I can really identify with - in the UK we have no opposition anymore, it's like a series of engagements where they aggressively show how they'd do the same thing, but more than the opposition.

I think you've ended up with the worst possible outcome in the states now. An addled old Puppet directed by the same handlers who have called the shots for years. Definitely worse than Trump V2, definitely worse than Bernie even though many of his very vocal supporters are fascists in party hats, and in my humble opinion both of these options are worse than Gabbard would have been. Just my opinion, she more often than not comes across as fairly sensible and normal.

Sanders doesn't support fascism and we can find "scary" people in any crowd.

The fake racism and fake fascism attacks are always based on two things: immigration and Israel. Anything that questions Israel's government is conveniently weaponized as "anti-semitism" when it serves the establishment's needs. On immigration, Sanders admits that America (like any other nation) cannot implement or sustain open borders. Third way fake lefties conveniently omit that Sanders favors a direct path to citizenship instead of the current maze of visas. (Visas designed to create indentured servitude.) He couldn't let everyone in, but he would be more fair to people that got in. Neolibs and cons prefer to lie about all that. Obama loved to talk about saving everyone, but he deported a record crowd of people as quietly as possible.

Sanders' "fascist" sin is looking people in the eye and telling them the truth. We're too thick for the truth.

Sanders doesn't. He comes across as pretty reasonable in the longer interviews I found on Youtube a while back, I have no dislike of him, seemed sincere for the most part but this wasn't a great moment:

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/02/13/bernie-sanders-says-millionaires-less-in-2020-democratic-primary.html

Too many of the far left who support and even worked for his campaign are basically fascists in loot box skins. They say they aren't, but their actions tick all the boxes so who really gives a fuck.

I've seen worse. Like forking over £126,000 (of government paper) to shag a yank pole humper (Jennifer Arcuri)? Now, who would do something like that?

Yeah... the people who want to give everyone healthcare and end slavery are the real fascists.

Sanders himself became a millionaire in 2016

This is a straight up lie, of course. He became a millionaire around 2000. Representatives have a six figure salary.

The US has the antitrust laws on the books that once did the unthinkable act of breaking up "Ma Bell."

A problem is how do you break up a website? At that point you're really talking about nationalizing the thing. I do agree that I feel like Facebook, Amazon, TV networks, etc should be paying me money, though.

I for one support their work towards making the machine god real and ruling us like we're little lab mice. Isn't that the best we can hope for by this point?

Biden puppet will have limited room for manoeuvre, he is the elected president of the GAFAM which are building a world where the ethnic, gender, sexuality, and skin color criterias take precedence over the qualities of merit, talent and humanity. The societal evolution in western countries is dictated by these companies and key personalities like Elon Musk who develop Artificial intelligence and a form of "marketing" of the human body, because everything must be sold and everything must be bought, the key word is "consume", and the spectrum of consumers must be broadened to their globalist ambitions. It's a bit like "People become robots, and robots become people".

1. All money is green, so it makes sense to."empower" all consumers.
2. Playing people against one another helps divide and conquer.

We are building a society based on identity politics, but it's all window dressing. We aren't actually worried about equality at all.

I've been hearing this verbatim; especially on conservative media and in comments sections on public facebook news stories, for weeks.
What is almost never offered in the next breath is what "things are strange looking"?
This reinforces and perpetuates the notion of a "stolen election" without ever putting anything on the table to analyze and discuss.

Genuinely, I am interested, would like to know, what strange things about the election haven't been adequately addressed?
I've followed this pretty closely and have yet to hear any accusation that hasn't been investigated, explained, and or debunked, or is simply inconsequential.

No, it is not. Not in this cuntry. The burden of proof is on those making outlandish claims. They had their avenues to do that and were laughed out of court 60+ times. No matter what you deem as strange looking, it has been scrutinized more than any other election. If you want some bullshit, look at Texas closing all but one drop off location per county during a pandemic. They don't even try to hide voter suppression. YEEEEHAAAAW!

And if you can't prove it, there's an even bigger problem.

Whole heartedly agree. However, see above of who has to do the proving. Your logic is as flawed as the racist birther claims lead by President Fuck Stick when Obama was in office. Obama had no burden of proof whatsoever, but of course everyone demanded his head on a plate.

You can't blame voters being suspicious when the carrying on seems almost deliberately suspicious, on multiple sides.

I guess I can't blame a bunch of people who believe a guy they voted for and arguably like lying through his teeth for months. I mean, I'm not sure at what point you blame the gullible. I mean do you believe Trump won the popular vote in 2016 (when it doesn't even matter to anything except his ego)? He certainly does... again... without proof.
