Remember that time Trump, the disgraced president who did his best to botch the handling of the pandemic, once mandated that letters be send out in food boxes touting how he cared about the pandemic and was widely (and probably rightly) viewed by ethics experts as a cheap political move?

There's a Washington Post article today about a massive, anonymous lottery winner in a small, impoverished town where everyone's wondering who won it that's now hit with beggers literally calling random business owners to ask for money. There's a small paragraph at the end that highlights exactly why everyone was worried it was a cheap political move:
Still, sure as she is that they’re the winners, Cooper says the new millionaires shouldn’t feel any obligation to support the rest of Lonaconing. As a steady stream of cars arrive to pick up boxes of sweet potatoes, onions, apples, squash and cucumbers, people talk more about being grateful for what they have than about wanting or deserving anything from the Power Pack.

“We love the Lord,” Cooper said, “and He sends us what we need. And President Trump sent us cheese and milk and hot dogs — the Democrat just sends us vegetables. President Trump put a letter in each one of these boxes saying he’s thinking of us. People kept those notes from President Trump, put them up on their walls. That’s who people depend on, not the Powerball winner.”
President Trump did fuck all during the pandemic, aside from ignoring and undermining his own healthcare experts, and making rambling remarks about injecting disinfectants. The food support program was in place and was run long before he was president, and indeed Republicans have actively tried to hamstring and destroy existing social support programs like food supplements. However, his political team forces a letter into each food box that clearly was not written by Trump, and of course you get people exclaiming how Trump wrote them personally, how wonderful Trump is to send them food, etc. Do these people have no idea how these food programs work? How much Trump is basically relying on them to behave like gullible rubes?

Also, what the fuck is wrong with getting fresh vegetables?

The Republican party basically exists today in its current state by keeping its voters perpetually impoverished, afraid, uneducated, and in an endless state of frenzy, zealous worship of the GOP. They are taught that only the Republican party can possibly fix any of these issues it creates exactly in order to maintain its power.

Idiocracy presented a world where dumb people reproducing more led to humanity being a bunch of dum-dums.

As I always like to say, there's always more and it's always worse. If you stop at Idiocracy, that's the good ending. Let's imagine what happens if you continue from there:

With no evolutionary pressure to preserve intelligence, it will wither away and disappear. There was a time when we had the shape of the human body, but we did not have the mind. Especially prior to when we evolved the language center in our brain. We were that way once, we can be again. If we're lucky, it would end there - maybe we'll still be able to throw sticks and fish. Further evolution beyond that would reduce us to animals, maybe dumber than elephants.

Maybe if all you follow is Luciferian deep state propaganda, AKA the mainstream media. Those of us plugged into patriotic underground resistance networks know what's really been going on. Stuff like this:

Patriotic US Military vs. Werewolves Special Feature - BREAKING!!

You think Sleepy Joe is out there fighting Iranian werewolves to safeguard your freedom?

They even unveiled Trump's new costume:

I like it, way more iconic than Power Armor Trump or Cyber Ninja Action Trump.

Yikes. That's a slippery slope, Bryan.

I would argue that no time in civilization had ever rewarded intelligence more than now--although the distribution of opportunity is still laughably inefficient and uneven.

That reminded me that I had the impression the Weekly World News had a right wing slant to it, so I checked if my memories were right. Heavy christian persecution complex, and the page 5 girl in a bikini (appealing to the horny in old folks just like murdoch's rags). So I didn't hallucinate all that. (And they.. printed a few thousand copies of something for the first time in forever this year? Neat. Truly the endtimes.)

It's kind of ironic that an outlet that has conspiracy theories of mind control would have it's own subliminal messaging. Isn't that brilliant??

Imagine if we lived in a world where something like that existed on the scale the WWN did, but with a left wing slant. Messaging on all fronts in all dimensions.

If it gets them another hit of yeeaahhh fuck yooouuu yeeahhhh they'll debase themselves however much they have to, without a moment's hesitation. They've been constantly high on the stuff for decades running, by now nothing else matters but the next score, at any price.

Some good news! You know that thing I keep bitching about? About slavery being legal? Well, an amendment to amend the amendment has been proposed! Human rights organizations managed to make some senators do a thing!

The bad news! It has a 0% chance of passing anytime in the next ~12 years. But still! Symbolic progress before The End consumes us, is all we can aspire to!

Revelation 16:8: "And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire."

Maybe you didn't believe your Sunday School teacher when she told you that sentence was about an epic space thermostat battle between good and evil for the fate of all mankind. Well maybe it's time to clean the Satanic wax out of your ears and listen up, bucko!

Given that the USMCA did virtually nothing to fundamentally change NAFTA and actually weakened Mexico's position by further opening their agriculture to tariff-free US competition, it funny to hear Trumpers bitch about immigration. America drove Mexican agriculture out of business with exports and simultaneously drove wages down (in Mexico) while outsourcing jobs to Mexico. Now, we have essentially extended the original NAFTA (with a new brand name to hide the evidence) with even more American leverage to access the Mexican food market. What could go wrong?

Make no mistake. Trump won the negotiations and he got everything he could from Mexico. Just don't go thinking that benefits many plebs in America or Mexico. (Unless you happen to somehow still operate a farming business. There's no such thing as a family farm. The property and equipment are expensive. That's a business. I don't feel sorry for you, farm owner. I don't need to save you, rich business owner. Don't "family farm" at me, rich man.)

Of course when I'm out of town the greatest thing ever happens. By which I mean Steven Crowder's years of ducking Sam Seder came to an end and the end result is glorious.

The quavering voice and clenched fingers at the start are because he was half-expecting this.

"You're such a nobody you're not worthy of my attention, yet I keep close enough tabs on you to know you ended your show early last Monday when I originally scheduled this debate before backing out with the excuse that my pregnant wife was in the hospital!"

He immediately booked Donald Trump Jr. the very next day, (normally you announce a couple days/weeks early to maximize hype), in a desperate attempt to distract from this incident.

I want to know about Hunter's sex life even less than I want to know about Trump's. These bastards have already ruined Mario Kart for us, let's not spread anymore of their disease to anyone else please?

I know the apocalypse is boring as is the fact we're going to cure ~90+% of cancers long before outlawing slavery..... but if we're going to have celebrity gossip can it at least be about celebrities that are entertaining? Like internet superstar Rich Evans? And the time he went to some guy's house to look at his "Warhammer miniatures"??

I'm sorry, what was I thinking. That was like busting out my Mohamed The Pooh fanart in the Countdown To The Death Of Great Satan thread (where's it gotten away to...). I apologise, Burgerfriends! Image I mean "he said the n-word with a soft R" Image

Chaps, I'm embarrassed to arrive empty-handed from the shores of Cuck Island  I'm sitting on an interesting dispatch, regarding one of your lovely cultural exports - but the story is unfolding, and it remains to be seen who will survive, and what will be left of them! To give an idea, though: noted Assata Shakur cosplayer Sasha Johnson got shot in the frickin face at an early morning Peckham house party  She was clearly a bit dumb to start with, but this is not going to improve matters! Image

Clearly, the crisis at hand was not South London's ongoing gun X knife extravaganza, but WHO WOT DUN IT. "It muft habe been te Klan wot dun it!" bleated Diane Abbot, reaffirming herself a race-grifting disgrace to our oft-invoked West Indian mothers everywhere. No love! That is just how di yute dem do, down Peck-Peck way! ...as if she didn't know, the wily old cow. Image Still, why turn down a free punt? Abbot is to accountability what The Blob (MAHVEL) is to flying lead. Useful traits for politicians and residents of gang-riven neighborhoods, respectively. Ask Rhys Jones! Or at least you could, if the daft little mite hadn't forgotten his white privs card on the schoolbus that day.

I cannot for the Dickens find updates on Ms. Johnson's condition - hence this unfortunately half-baked dispatch - but I do know her mother is distraught that, of 30+ potential witnesses at the fateful juke joint jive, ain't nobody sayin SHIT  This is a familiar pattern, for those of us who grew up in *coof* gang-related areas - too familiar to remark upon without weariness and/or despair! CYNICISM, even.

However! Much like the latest mincing chickenhawk elected PUSA helped to revive Indiscriminate Death From Above for a whole new generation in the early 00s, an old fave has been given modern zest by MURICAN ingenuity and its CUCKFORDIAN catamites! NOW, it is a *coof coof* Black Life hanging in the balance! Surely this matter will not be forgotten, unlike the mountain of black corpses bulldozed under the carpet either side of the pond.

Well, I'll see you around, chaps. Image

EDIT: Aww, bust on me for real. (I'm hoping this will catch on, in the manner of "fuck me old boots"). If you would like to support Sasha's apparently extensive treatment costs, consider a donation!

It's always annoyed me that the Democrat's "anti-republican president" strategy is so transparently engineered to lose. "We're anti-Trump!" /Trump's gone, gets destroyed next election, smiling pikachu face as the supreme court goes 13/9 GOP for the next six thousand years.

The republicans in contrast have a beautiful anti-everything strategy, including the trendy anti-republican and anti-capitalist sub factions! If you hate something, there's always a home for you in the GOP no matter what it is. Unless it's anti-religion, anti-hate, and anti-suicide. Those are all minority niches though. We love holodeck heaven, hatin' shit, and killing ourselves.

Group reading studies of propagandists is the only political thing I find entertaining these days. Whenever Chapo or a forum thread highlights something and makes an observation of how it works as a grooming tool. "These are the assholes who control the world. They sure are assholes!" I say smugly to myself as I sniff my own farts out of a wineglass as the ship continues to sink.

Doomy infrastructure arguments are nice too, though no one thinks of physical things as political. If it's not a pointless shouty wrestling match, it's not "politics" in their mind. Musk's relentless scammy gadgetbahn scams are always a good laugh.

I mean, they are 4 out of the last 5 on Republican presidents self-destructing. W only got a second term because of hyper-nationalism and bin Laden cutting a promo on him 4 days before the election. You gotta find out how that storyline resolves itself, right?

I assume you're being sarcastic about the W second term part since those are the standard Dem excuses for why swiftboating and Cheney's wife crying about dumbass mf'er Kerry saying "His gay daughter is a human being!" torpedo'd that shitshow as soon as it got going. Jesus it's surreal there isn't an easily googable youtube clip of the "bad man" moment, almost everything prior to 2005 is completely dead to the internet.

It says something slightly positive I guess at our subconscious revulsion to capitalist interests that even with massive systematic advantages up and down, from the constitution itself blessing them to having the Washington Generals as their pretend opponent, that the GOP is only able to have complete and utter control of the federal government 98% of the time instead of 100%.

Look, was Kerry a calculated stuffed shirt fake who traded his spine for a senate seat some time during the Reagan administration?

Image

That would be a yes.

And I make no defence of the Swift Boating. That shit should have been a layup. When you can't even tell your enlisted subordinates to shut their lying asses up, you show the world pretty quick you're not the military hero leader you're posing as. Instead the plan was to "remain above it" and "avoid being seen attacking the troops," which showed he'd long since stopped identifying as one himself.

Which is nothing by itself, but it revealed that he had little political instincts of his own, and was being led by the nose by the stack of internal polls in his advisors' hands. Yes, he was up against political Lex Luthor in the form of Karl Rove. But getting owned in the military credentials department against a probable draft/duty dodger is just a pathetic L to hold either way.

That being said, he was also running against a guy whose approval rating was at 42% following the Iraq invasion, and who'd been made into a clown in the eyes of the world outside the US republican-o-sphere. After Al Jazeera dropped the Osama mixtape 4 days before the election, polls showed Bush suddenly jumped out to a 6 point lead. He ended up winning a tight vote 50.73% to 48.27%, so its impact is pretty hard to deny.

You can check the data right here, every single domestic national poll conducted on the race. It was a coin flip for only one month of the year (~July), and was Lean Bush the rest of the time. I assume this was because the GOP chose to lean off their advertising campaign during the Dem national convention - basic "don't waste your money hitting them when they're strong" strat.

Sometimes I wonder if there's an aspect of feeling like they have to make it look like a race, that we have the illusion of choice. Tripping across Matrix references when pondering civilization doesn't help make me think this isn't a computer simulation. (Remember how they're talking about doing that thing to the sky? Not as a complete joke?)

Anecdotally, at the time this came up in a conversation with my ex's mother's family. They viewed this as reinforcing Kerry's image as the peace option, and not in a negative way. UFO/General Conspiracy Enthusiasts, White, trailer home, low income - in theory prime "Trump" demo.

There's this tendency to view these things like a Hollywood movie, where big epic moments matter and can swing things around. But that's just a horserace narrative to drum up ratings. Like a real life relationship, it usually just comes down to "who do you like more", since the function of the president is to be your imaginary TV friend and distract you from important things. Bush has more charisma than Kerry, and the smear campaign was effective.

"My brother kept us safe!"
"He didn't keep us safe on 9/11."
"Y, you.... you can't say that!"
"Just did binch." 8)

120 F in west Canada, perpetual drought in the southwest, "I'm in danger!" vibe continues on.

A kind of funny thing I realized yesterday is that Musk openly talked about his dream of running away into a hole on Mars with his bag of gold while the Earth burns... the man really is Wario.

Also discovered Charles Krauthammer died ~three years ago. You might remember him as the guy who played Voldemort on PBS. Discovered he was paralyzed from the waist down from diving into the shallow end of a pool. It really shows how little these spin men matter to anyone despite being so important (they're literally priests. When you have a crisis of faith, they're there to tell you everything's fine and the big boss loves you) - when David Brooks, Paul Krugman etc die, they'll just be replaced by an identical chatbot in the papers and only political nerds will even notice. Like, five years later.
