Some selected tribute tracks for Nujabes. Can't believe it's been 7 years already. :(

Afro Electronic album from 1983. Very cool if you are into Afrobeat, but the synths used are interesting too.

Casshern (2004) - OST - Shirō Sagisu

Such a great score. Some lovely themes in this one.
Revisited it recently because it contained a progression of notes that reminded my of a piece that I could not quite put my finger on.
Like a stone in my shoe for years

Lots of Vangelis Blade Runner of course but I'm satisfied that what I was hearing were themes contained in The Omega Man (1971) - OST - Ron Grainer.

That's one less OCD splinter

Also, how beautiful is this; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwtFebIaU98 The apropos horn starting at 3:15 with its extended phrasing, gets me every time.

Cumbia/Tropical dance album. Shame it's so short!

Lovable Jazz album. The instruments used give it a cinematic feel, for the loss of a better word. Reminds me of the music used in the Hercule Poirot series with David Suchet.

Masters Of Classical Music
My brother-in-law's uncle let me borrow this, the man loves classical. 10 CDs, with 10 selected tracks from various composers. Listened to Mozart, now listening to Bach.

Jamaican Reggae and Cuban Dancehall makes some great listening. First track will make you think "Oh, it's a Buena Vista Social Club Reggae remix", but it's more than that.

Excellent black metal record, very atmospheric but pretty raw and savage at the same time. love it
It's in heavy rotation for me right now

Yeah I've got it and I dig. I'm constantly reminded about it because when I first listened to it with VLC player something happened and now the image from the album comes up randomly. But it's cool with me; I think she's babecity

Johnny Thunders & The Heartbreakers - L.A.M.F. (1977) Stonesy junkie rock, impeccably shambolic. Rollicking, careening and lurching, delivered with swagger, sneer and the rare plaintive want. A vicariously self-destructive pleasure. Shame these guys only had the one studio record, although bright flames burning half as long etc etc. Johnny Ramone called it, bunch of fuckin' junkies destined to crumble. Though they hung around long enough to blow away his own band's version of Chinese Rocks both in-studio and onstage.

The plaster's falling off the wall
My girlfriend's crying in the shower stall
It's hot as a bitch
I shoulda been rich
But I'm just fuckin some Chinese bitch!

EDIT: the production quality varies radically between editions. The original vinyl pressing was infamously botched. Go for The Lost '77 Mixes (1994), or the original cassette mix - both sound great.

Relaxing Future Funk album. Lacks the 80's JPop i enjoy in this genre, but it's still a good release.

Well-produced Synthpop/Future Funk album. The cover of Prince's "Kiss" is well made.

Deep Purple - Perfect Strangers - 1984

A perfect song and the best piece DP created.

Check out that vid  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZ_kez7WVUU

If my math is on, it was recorded/released in late 84, so either the lads had not seen (or had and didnt give a single fuck) This is Spinal Tap, which released earlier that year
