No, it's Rebirth or After Birth or something.

Not sure if I can make it for this, we'll see.

Nope, It's the Binding of Isaac: Rebirth.

or maybe it should be listed as Afterbirth, as my run includes that DLC.

Fun to see FlatOut mentioned in the beginning there. Really brings me back to high school when I was tearing it up in that game using the keyboard no less, which worked surprisingly well. With the harder handling mode enabled, cars were real interesting to throw around and unwillingly going off road was always a real danger. Not a lot of invisible walls in this one, which mean you could really get stuck on weird places and lose your place/the race.

The sequel was fun too, but with the focus being moved towards action and destruction the handling felt a bit more simplified, still, lots of fun were to be had. Can't say if it has aged well though, the first game certainly hasn't. It was always kind of eerie and empty-feeling but the racing itself was always fun because of the bumpy roads and great physics.

Also, because of watching the stream, I dug out Ridge Racers 2 on PSP just to find that it is still excellent and a shockingly smooth experience

Thanks to Aquas and the gang for having me in the show again, it was fun. Hopefully somebody got something out of it. My enunciation is something deplorable.

Episode 20 hit all the right spots! Love the ending video, and loved that Flatout was included. So many good games in there I've forgotten about.

Interesting choice! Always had a minor fixation on this game... one of the more ruthless I can recall from my early NES rental days. Nice to see I'm not the only one, haha. (and of course there's the whole Westone/Wonder Boy thing, which could probably take up an entire podcast in itself)

edit: was fuckin hardcore, seriously. Glad I wasn't mis-remembering how mean this game gets.

Yet another good choice! Where the last ep inspired me to pick up a Famicom copy of Boukenjima, I've owned and enjoyed DDIII for many years now. It's got its flaws, but "too hard" sure as hell ain't one of 'em! Certainly a myth ripe for busting.

Cool run! Never cleared the 2nd loop. Got up to 2-6 a few times I think though.
