Stephen Furst, "Flounder" from Animal House and "Vir" from Babylon 5.
Two working class dudes, one black one white, just baked a tray of ten cookies together.

An oligarch walks in and grabs nine cookies for himself.

Then he says to the white dude "Watch out for that black dude, he wants a piece of your cookie!"

Michael Nyqvist, who was in the original Swedish version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and also played the villain in Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and John Wick, died recently of lung cancer at age 56. 2016 is repeating itself, isn't it?

Yeah, but Michael Nyqvist... I seriously wasn't expecting him either. I keep hoping this year wasn't gonna be as bad as last year.

The film critic Barry Norman has died. It might not mean much to people outside the UK, but his show was pretty good (in the 70's and 80's).

Man, used to watch his show back in the day.

Just noticed he went to the same school that I did.

One of my favourite horror directors George Romero died at 77 years of age. His influence and mark will endure.

But will he stay dead?

(I wouldn't have made that joke if I didn't think Romero would approve. RIP movie legend  )

Sayonara to the horror master of the zombie genre, George Romero. The dead will rise again -- fresh brains to devour.

Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington dead at 41, suicide by hanging.

Speaking of horror, I'll always fondly regard him for his unwitting part in this internet masterpiece

Can't think of anything nice to say about their music, but suicide is a horrible thing that touches me on a personal level. I've seen too much of it, and it really hurts. That everlasting question if there's something you could have done.

At least I can always respect him for his contributions to the soundtrack for The World Ends With You

June Foray, 99 years old, 2 months shy of her 100th, HUGE name voice actor. If you don't know anything she did, you likely do know work she did. She did tons of voice acting.

Shit! More importantly he was a playwright - did some pretty weird stuff in the 70's, appeared in Malick's Days of Heaven and wrote Zabriski Point for Antonioni. Then he started appearing in trash movies, turning up and sleepwalking towards the paycheque (though Bloodline was pretty good on Netflix).

Haruo Nakajima passes away after a long life. He was the original Godzilla and played the monster in 12 movies. Sad to see, but he lived to a ripe old age and his work ranged from legendary to legendarily silly.
