Late to the party, but so what.

Someone did frame-by-frame screenshots of the trailer, notice the futuristic jet (R-101 Delphinus) from AC3.

Oh Oh!

Way to getting my interest in Infinity back up!
Felt like I hit a brick wall in the MP mode. With planes & upgrades costing way too much, my tech-tree progress has pretty much come to a halt.

Forgot to mention the trailer also shows some well-known Area 88 paint jobs.

So what's the deal with Hori Flightsticks (Flightstick for PS2, Flightstick 2 for PS2, Flightstick 3 for PS3).

Apparently, the Flightstick 3 only works with the PS3 games. The other 2 obviously work with the PS2 games, but do they work with the PS1 games as well? If so do they work on an actual PS1 console or only when playing the games on a PS2?

Did Hori make any Flightstick for the PS1 or is Sony's "Playstation Analog Joystick" the best option on PS1?

Hori didn't make any ps1 flighstick. The only third-party model for the Ps1 I'm aware of is this thing by Mad Catz,

Seems like I've been too busy playing this game to keep up with this thread. I currently have a Level 6 Raptor, pretty good considering I only spent $20 to buy the campaign pass.

I'm somehow just really tired of Infinity.

The competitive aspect, the frenetic dash for enemies not yet targeted by somebody else, ultimately ruins it for me. Of course there are also the fact that things I want are limited rare drops that I miss because I don't play the game often enough. And like every other MP game, there are odd unwritten rules that might get you kicked from rooms because of that number that reflects your skill level...?

Not saying it had some cool moments though. I really enjoyed it in the beginning when the playing field was more level and Moby Dick was an exciting mission.

Hopefully this can be something better...

(inb4 pc port plz!)

I play Infinity by grinding on free fuel every day, only playing 1-3 games a day, and I currently have a level 15 F-22, level 13 FB-22, and level 10 ADF-01. The lack of map variety gets stale to be honest.

The best thing about Infinity, apart from B7R, is my Idolm@ster Typhoon Makoto jet.

Surprised 6 is leading the poll. It's good, but Zero is king.

Bandai Namco’s Ace Combat series is finally returning. Ace Combat 7 has been announced today at the PlayStation Experience in San Francisco, California. But the reveal has come with another surprise; the title won’t just support the PlayStation VR virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) but is in fact exclusive to the device.

You are misinformed. Kazutoki Kono mentioned that it's optional.

With that [s]overly tall Excalibur[/s] orbital elevator but nations still using non-COFFIN equipped planes and flying fortress throwing in X-47Bs, I wonder whether this time the setting is in-between AC6 and Electrosphere.

Also, Erusean Su-30 vs OADF F-22 may imply it's an intercontinental war then?

Now I really fucking want a PS4.

Well, maybe. I still don't exactly trust Bamco to not fuck things up. But I'm so damn excited.
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

If that came from the man himself, then I have nothing to worry about.
I'll still hold off on buying a PS4 until either AC7 or NieR: Automata get released, though.

I am so excited for this game that I already went and ordered a PS4 Star Wars battlefront bundle to prepare. The VR aspect looks like an amazing experience, but I know it's not going to be cheap

I wonder if you'll have to ascend that orbital elevator on foot to board your aircraft.

That would be one giant nope for me. Heights in games always freak me out.

A game closer to Electrosphere would be really cool but this is more in line with the first teaser trailer and we still get lazorz.

This gives me hope  Please be a good game!

Wut? I see planes carrying lasers and railguns, UCAVs and flying drone carriers, space elevators, are those not futuristic enough?
I suppose story-wise it may bridge pre-AC3 era and AC3 era events

Speaking of "futuristic"

It would be interesting to experience an Ace Combat of the future. SpAce Combat. I had this vision that they would marry the old-fashioned Ace Combat gameplay with the newer gameplay shown in Assault Horizon for older planes and more futuristic planes/ships and their weapon systems, respectively.
