Does anybody still have a copy of the Es Trial?

Post by Mischief Maker »

Es was a never-finished doujin game by the makers of Blood Over in the style of Zone of the Enders. It was high speed and amazing. It's a tragedy that garbage like Recettear gets finished and localized and lauded the internet-over but THIS never sees the light of day:

Anyway, I had a hankering to give the game a try again but found that their site is down for the count. Dare I hope against hope that someone here has a backup of the beta trial?

Update!

A little fiddling with archive.org found me a still-working mirror at the moment:

http://mirror0.fuzzy2.com/2008/01/9th-n ... l_beta.zip

Arrows move horizontally.
Z is sword, hold back when hitting Z for a lifting uppercut.
X is machine gun (tap) or homing lasers, (hold).
Z and X together fire Death Blossom when the power meter on the left is full.
C is vertical jump.
V is horizontal dash.
A fires special weapon 1
S changes target.
D targets closest.
Q fires special weapon 2

I don't think the config editor or the config text file actually work in this beta.

Seriously, if you like action games even slightly you owe it to yourself to play this.

Shit, I'm home now and can't seem to reach the link. Might be one of those typical western / eastern server hiccups. Will keep trying or maybe see of a vpn helps or some shit.

I wonder if Rancor would be interested in hosting a copy on his site?

Thanks, even unfinished it would be a real pity if this game was lost.
