Currently on my 2nd play-through of Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete for PSX, as well as attempting a 1CC of DonPachi (Saturn). I've also been playing Star Wars: Rebel Strike on GC. Awesome game.

Parsec 47 and Virtua Quest mostly. I'm also playing Monkey Billiards 2 (US Nine Ball) from Super Monkey Ball 2 quite a lot.

Phantasy Star II

A lot of things about the game haven't aged well. The single background on the battles is pretty lame and the dungeon designs are annoying at best, but the fully automated combat system is quite choice, especially since I'm playing it in an emulator on my powerbook. Simply unthrottle the game whenever i get into a fight (or just want to run around real quick) and suddenly level grinding isn't so bad anymore. Wish there was more direction in the game, but considering it's over 15 years old I guess it's understandable.

Cave Story

...or at least I'd like to be playing it more, but there's no english patch for the MacOSX version of the game :'(

Bombastic
Great game for me and wife to just chill out to. Working together to clear all 100 levels in the free mode or whatever, but right now our highest is about level 77 :(

Just picked up a GunCon 2 and finally started playing Vampire Night.

I love how the game focuses on accuracy rather than just spraying.

I bought Hajime no Ippo (GBA version) over the weekend and played it for the first time yesterday. I had no idea what I was doing and was comprehensively thrashed by my sparring partner, but it looks like it'll be well worth persevering with.

And yet..

I downloaded it this evening...I've just been wandering around on my own so far, but it would be great fun if a few people here fancied getting a game underway :D

I got my Japanese PS2 and Berserk in the mail today. Almost threw the fucking thing out the window and considered sending a letter bomb to Play Asia after it refused to load the game the first two times I hit the power button... for some reason it loaded after I removed my memory card. Anyone ever heard of that before? Japanese system refusing to load a game with a memory card full of american save files plugged in to it? Anywho...

Berserk is great. You should get it.
Feedback will set you free.

Since I recently completed my prior goal in Gradius Gaiden, I've decided to switch to some non-shmupping for the time being:

Ratchet & Clank 3: UYA
Just started playing through this last night. I really enjoy playing this series, even if part 2 is the only one with truly flexible gameplay. Speaking of part 2, I need to sit down this week and record a speed-run.

Alien Versus Predator. If Kiken can do those impressive runs on Gradius and others, I have got to one-life that beast, and kick the bosses' Xenomorphic butts in style. Pwned so far, Chrysalis and Razor Claws. Lt. Kurosawa rocks! :D

Just finished Otogi, the last boss gave me some troubles. I can't be bothered to get the Moonlight sword though, it takes far too long.

Currently playing:
Gradius V - can now get to end of fourth level...still only got about 7 hours logged for this game.
Baten Kaitos - not very far, but am enjoying it so far.
FF: Dawn of Souls - I'm finished FF1 except for the last dungeon, and am currently about 30 floors deep in the last of the four "extra" dungeons.
Riven on PC - I'm good and stuck right now. This "game" takes some serious thought.

I've been regularly tempted to get back into Animal Crossing, the only thing keeping me from that is that I don't actually have it anymore. Problem is when I can relinquish my soul to it :?

Similarly tempted to try to beat R-Type Final [for the B or C ending], since I haven't done that yet. I ought to do that... but I've been pretty lazy about playing anything I can't play here on my computer
