Sigma Star Saga

Post by Andi »

I just heard about a new GBA RPG scheduled for American release late Spring called Sigma Star Saga. It's supposedly got a shooter style battle system when you are engaged in space duels and tons of ship upgrades. I'm hoping it is sort of a non-linear space exploration kind of game like Privateer, Freelancer, or Armada, but I won't get my hopes up.

There are some screens at all the big game sites and stuff. It looks pretty cool.

Anyone else heard anything or have any speculation to add?

There was some talk about this over at the temp forums.

Official site at http://www.sigmastarsaga.com/index.php

It sounds interesting, but I have to wonder what happened to World Reborn, which was supposed to be pretty much the same thing, an RPG/shmup hybrid.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

Damn, the website doesn't bring anything up.

I'm sure a lot more info will pop up in the next couple months. Unless Nintendo just gives up on supporting the GBA and all the developers drop their projects for it.
