Back from a great weekend!!...

Post by dave4shmups »

First of all everyoneI am sorry about my "Should I do this threads", and I promise that I WILL try to work on this.

Anyway, the mountains were beautiful-although we left earlier then scheduled due to the fact that we got a foot of snow last night, and were supposed to get 2-3 feet more!

There was a restaurant in this tiny town called Westcliff on the way there that actually had an Afterburner cabinet! :D Heard about it from our Pastor who stopped in at this restaurant; he said it was the stand-up model, not the full sit down cab.

An Afterburner cab :) quite a find, even if it's just the stand-up version. I'm surprised that diner hadn't sold it off to some collector yet.

Who knows, maybe the restaurant owner is a collector himself.

www.horncreek.org It's a Christian retreat center in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains in Southern Colorado.

Seems like small town restaurants or hotels are the only places left in Colorado with old-school arcade games!

In the fall of '03, for example, some of us from my church group went up to a town called Glenwood Springs on a Friday night, for a mountain hike the next day. The hotel we stayed in had a Gauntlet cab, a 1943 cab, and a Forgotten Worlds cab!

Looks beautiful.

Mountains. Damn how I wish we had mountains. Hell, I'd settle for cliffs. I hate driving 4 or more hours to climb :( And the hiking/biking ...
