Neither do I ... well maybe because no one here plays this anymore ! And this is a shame.
I missed my 1CC last time I tried, did not have 3 hours straight to spend since, dont play it now. Shame also, I'll turn it on "again someday soon."

You should be excited. This game is drop dead awesome.
Preordered US version ? Is there a date now ?
It's showing up as sometime in June at Gamestop, which likely means they don't have a date set - although it's possible that it actually will not be coming until June.

This is bad new, I'm everyday happier to have gotten the Jap version.

Anyone plays it again here ? I had a PS3 for Christmas and did not turn the game on since. Bad

Probably still working on voice dubs or something...Nintendo Power's preview still had the Japanese version of the game shown (and stated that you can keep coming back with unlimited continues...yeah right  )

Still putting my money on Steve Blum being in this somewhere. Or Yuri Lowenthal.

Just tried this game and first impressions are great. I see how it can become repetitive with future plays since the bosses just loop their attacks, but they are great nonetheless. It looks great and I love how the framerate is smooth despite all the chaos on-screen. Unlike, say other on rails games like House of the Dead Overkill and Resident Evil the Umbrella Chronicles. If the rest of the game is as good as what I've played so far, this might be the killer app for the Wii that nobody will play.

Edit: but oh yeah, the gogo boots still don't suit the guy at all.

It is both. Bosses patterns loops for sure, but the aim is to kill them as fast as possible in order to get good times bonuses, so you wont see them looping too many times.
On screen chaos as you say is really good indeed, while it lasts. Some parts of the game are rather empty for no apparent reasons. Some times you just wish they have zapped those parts and made the game shorter (almost three hours for a complete run...)
Isn't there some kind of unlockable "fast-mode" as in the first episode ? Dont know that yet.

I love the boots ! But I love even more the shiny-soccerball-shaped-flying-backpack !

They announced the American release will have a new craptastic name: "Sin & Punishment: Star Successor". I have no idea what was wrong with the number 2, but they picked a terrible name anyway.

Can't wait to see the horrific US boxart now!

Bah... June. Was expecting it to come out earlier. Oh well.

I hope Treasure unveils its next project after this. Hopefully a Radiant Silvergun re-release or a new shmup in their RS/Ikaruga saga.

I'd rather they finished the 'original' 360 shooter they were working on.

Well, June. That's not too far away; I can get some other games out of the way before then.

lol jonny your joking right?

This is a pretty damn good game, I hope your not kidding cuz its pretty sweet. Check out some videos on youtube if your not familiar with it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tl6yDfsYyhQ

Edit: It has different control options available. You can use the Classic Controller, GC controller or the Wii Nunchuck.

I preffer the Wii and Chuck. Wiimote to aim on screen and the Chuck to move around. It's pretty good, if you've played Treasure games before then you'll be familiar with how they apply the mechanics.

The default control scheme is great (chuck and wiimote), and has an intuitive and superb use of the buttons. The motion of the game is great too, with really dynamic stage design and some top music. If it is like space harrier, then it's in an extremely advanced way, although I can see the similarities.
This kicks the first game's ass imo.

In a surprise twist Kotaku says S&P2 to come out in Europe a whole month earlier, on May 7th.

I'm pretty jazzed that this has finally been confirmed for PAL. I'm not normally crazy about rail shooters, but this looks like something special. I just found out that there's a co-op mode too!

I think it (or at least the first one, since I haven't played the sequel yet) has more than a little influence from Cabal and its successors/imitators (Blood Bros., NAM-1975, etc.). Probably the least obvious important thing about it from videos is that the aiming and player movement are independent; most games of this type tie both to a single d-pad/stick, and decoupling them makes the game much more enjoyable.
