I don't know if anyone else has this, but I've always envisioned a third party living in my mind that is responsible for a large number of functions, including memory organization, and it's truly an avatar in nature. If I'm sleepy so is it, at least as far as my imagination is concerned
Well, years and years after envisioning this thing, I found out that it very closely resembles a Necrodoodle from HoL (Human Occupied Landfill, a very funny table top RPG), though not quite as vicious or clawed -_^
My avatar is my awesome photoshop skills at work drawing this imagination of my minds inner workings. I always envision it living in this doored cave (think a messy hobbit hole), and if it opens the door, all I see are red glowing eyes, and perhaps a smirk, or frown, or whatever. The funny thing? I leave this imaginary creature ambiguous even to myself. I don't know if it's a formless shadow being, big and harry, or a colony of little insets that are playing with big red lightbulbs. Your guess is as good as mine. ^_^
Ok, now you guys know exactly how insane I am. Enjoy.

cant remember where I got mine. It was years ago and probably from penny-arcade but it sums up me as a person. 16-bit childhood. I have very fond memories from the 16-bit era as the Super Nintendo was the first console I ever bought.
aaaah I see the full avatar is not visible. At the bottom of the pic it says "16-bit childhood"

At the moment, mine is sort of a caricature of God shaking hands with a young person. In the full picture he is saying "Forget what you thought about Heaven, this shit will blow your mind."
It made me laugh.
I've also used:
The album art for Rage Against the Machine's first album. I'll probably change back to this one soon.
and
A photo of a person with a sign. If you can't read it it says "Keep your coins I want change."
"You are the Hero of Tomorrow!"
It's a knight dude from Secret of Mana for the SNES. Generally badass looking.

He is a Dark Stalker, according to the bestiary.FatCobra wrote: I wondered where that sprite is from, it looked like something out of a Final Fantasy game. He looks more like a Ninja to me.

Are you shitting us, man? Hahaha.professor ganson wrote:Kirby, which is short for Kirbins. Kirbins was a great knight in the 14th century. His ability to steal and readily employ his enemies weapons is justly celebrated, as his slightly gruesome tendency to devour his opponents.

It's a photo of William S Burroughs, one of my favorite writers.
